Detailed Reviews
The hotel itself is in a great location at the end of the main street of Katoomba. Woolies is just a short walk away if you need anything. The hotel gives you plenty of towels and pillows (2 towels per person and 3 pillows per person). The aircon in the rooms works well even on hot days.
The rooms themselves are rather old-fashioned with the lights randomly flickering and strange intermittent vibration noises. We had one person, who I'm pretty sure was a housekeeper, open our door without knocking. The hot water at this hotel also takes a while to come through so if you need a shower turn on the water and leave it for a couple of minutes. We booked a spa room but only half of the jets in the bath actually worked.

Thoroughly recommend this motel. Our king bed room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The position is close to shops and places to eat. The microwave, small fridge, crockery etc and sink allowed us our preferred preference for breakfast. On site parking. Service was excellent.

The accomodation is on the main road and close to Katoomba station (within a 10 min walk). There is parking on site and it is a quick drive to Echo Point to see the famous Three Sisters.
A breakfast buffet was included in our stay at a partnered accomodation opposite the station. It was like visiting an aunty or grandma's place and provided a home-like feel. This gave us a good start to the morning.
They have shampoo and body soap, but no conditioner (maybe on request but we didn't try this). We booked a room for two adults but we only received one body towel and no floor mat/towel (so bring your own towel or ask them for extra).
I would stay here again.

Looking back over the reviews ,the complaints made re the cleaning of the rooms definitely have not been listened to.
We refused the first room offered in the older front section ( no 2) as it was disgusting then were offered no 3 also older section . Didn’t look too bad first off ... but it too left a lot to be desired. Not cleaned properly, couldn’t reach the microwave, very small sink which we had to use to wash our hands, clean our teeth & wash up if needed . Shower rose broken tiles awful Fly screen torn , blinds broken which allowed the outside light to shine in all night . Toilet didn’t flush properly & so on & so on . Maybe the newer building at the back is better by all the reviews but we would never recommend this place to anyone unless it has a full upgrade & an extremely thorough clean .

I chose this hotel because it was located away from the noise of the highway and train line. The first room I was given had a bad smell but the woman at the front desk was fantastic and quickly upgraded me to a new room with a spa bath, which was most appreciated after each day of hiking. It was very convenient to everything and only a 10 minute walk to the train station. Good value.

I will absolutely recommend this motel. Amenities and facilities are great, staff are polite and friendly and it’s a great value. Also, good location if you don’t have a car since it’s close to the tourist attractions like Echo Point and Katoomba Falls as well as the shops.
The room has a kitchenette and the motel is located right opposite an Aldi and a Woolies. So, super convenient. 🙌🏻

Our 2 night stay here was horrible!! I initially booked The Blue Mountains Heritage Hotel but got no confirmation email, so rang again, this time getting the Katoomba Town Centre Motel. I was confused but thought there had been a name change ?? on arrival we were given a twin room rather than the “superior twin queen” we had booked - room and hallways smelled mouldy, the bathroom door dragged on the floor, and the bathroom light/fan made a hideous noise. On asking for a new room we were eventually relocated to the twin queen on our booking email. This room didn’t smell and the beds were comfortable but the lights didn’t all work, the toilet didn’t flush properly, the hot water in the sink & basin took a long time to heat, and the crockery was stained and mismatched. Had the site been advertised as a budget hotel it may have been more acceptable. Seemingly there are 2 separate businesses on the same site / neither of which provided ‘comfortable and cosy rooms’. The website boasts ‘The Equeva group strives to provide the best quality accommodation…’ budget masquerading as quality.

Stayed here for the first night of a tour through the Central West of NSW. Although the motel is quite old, the room was spotlessly clean and quiet. It was the cheapest motel by far of all motels during our trip ($99 for a twin room). The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner was heating the room before our arrival. An added bonus was the close proximity to all cafes and restaurants in the Katoomba CBD. Additionally, we were given a voucher to park at a jointly owned motel, on the day of our departure, close to the 3 Sisters where all street parking is metered. We walked less than a 100 metres to the Graze on Main Cafe for breakfast and would highly recommend it.

Stayed in a twin room with kitchenette and ensuite for 3 nights. The price was very good which swayed us in choosing this hotel. Plus having the convenience of a kitchenette. The location is very good. The shops, cafes, library and art gallery are within a few minutes’ walk. Up to the top of Katoomba St to the railway station is a bit of a hike but take it slow and it is fine. The walk to Echo Point and the 3 sisters is a lovely straight walk with only a gradual small hill at either end there and back. From the hotel it is approximately 20 minutes walk along Lurline Street, strolling past art galleries and lovely mountains homes, then back to the hotel along Katoomba St or Waratah Avenue. The room was small but adequate for 3 nights. Importantly, it was clean. The beds were comfortable with decent pillows. The air conditioning worked well for heating, the kitchen appliances all worked, the shower pressure was good. The room has two windows so natural light during an overcast day was fine. However, be aware that even though there are blinds, the room is quite light during the night due to a bright outside light shining in. An eye mask would be a good idea if you need darkness to sleep well. Being an old timber building, there are occasional rattles in the windows and depending on who is in the room above, you can hear the thump of their footsteps. It is a budget hotel but perfectly fine for a few nights.

Reception staff lovely. Grand old house. We had the 2 bedroom unit at the front of the motel. Great for 6 people to be in the same room unit. Kitchen small with only 4 chairs. A blind would have been nice to stop people who were walking along the street from looking in and to stop the dawn sunlight brightening up the bedrooms. Two bathrooms were excellent for 6 people needing showers of a night/morning. Walking distance to RSL, cafes, shops. Get in quick for car parks. Air con in one room worked fine, the other didn't cool the room down at all.

The extra $2 is probably a credit card surcharge. And the $100 is a security bond for any extras or incidentals I'd say 😊
