We spent the weekend in Katoomba & stayed here. Room was small, but comfortable. Bathroom was quite compact, with toilet right behind bathroom door. Staff were friendly enough, ringing us on Friday to let us know that they were doing contactless check in and that our room was unlocked and the key was in our room. When we wanted to pay the next morning before we went out to do things, we rang the button at about 8:40am, & was told we’d have to wait till they came down to the office at 9am. There’s a light right outside room window that’s left on all night and shines in the room, even with curtains fully closed. Surely there’s no need for the lights to be on all night, surely they can be turned off after a certain time.

The 3 Sisters is located in a very handy position - a fairly short walk to the 3 Sisters Lookout, Tourist Centre and the beginning of a few good walk trails. This is extra handy as parking at the lookout is at a premium and is paid & timed. The hotel is approx 15/20 minute walk to the township of Katoomba.
The motel itself is dated but it was clean with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was small but workable. The Staff were friendly with our limited contact with them. The hotel had a bit of a 70s/80s feel - even had the old neon sign still looking like new!
Not a bad budget hotel to stay on a visit to the Blue Mountains

We booked this motel because of the location. Too our surprise our room is lovely and has everything we need. Jason at reception was friendly and helpful. The bathroom has a walk in shower and good lighting over the basin. There is a microwave, fridge, tea and coffee and kettle. The bed is queen size and very comfortable . Extra pillows and blankets are in the cupboard. There is an iron and hair dryer. You are in walking distance of Echo Point with its spectacular view of the Three Sisters. There are plenty of walking trails to do from there. We walked to the town centre from the motel but it was a long walk there and back, not for the faint hearted. There is an information desk and kiosk at the point, a lovely cafe and restaurant close by. You have to pay for parking if you drive around but staying at the three sisters you can park out the front of your room and leave it there for free.

Motels arent great, so I wasnt expecting much. But far out this was a lot. The odour of cigarette mixed with perfume was the first thing we were hit with. It was so bad we had to buy air freshener because it was intolerable. The floor had stains and burn marks from an iron, that was bad. The BED was covered in stains, that was disgusting. To top it off, one of the “fresh” rolled towels had a big brown stain on it. You cant provide customers with stained beds and towels! The table base was dusty so my partner wiped the table top with a wipe, just to see if they at least cleaned that. The wipe was brown afterwards. The tap in our room was falling apart and when turning it on I ended up with a splinter of metal/metal coating? in my hand. The aircon smelled bad when we turned it on too. The wifi was pretty bad, but that could be weather related. The bed was stiff and uncomfortable. My partner offered several times to leave, we stayed because we had already paid. We chose to stay here because the reviews were so positive, we wish we got one of those rooms. Location is good though, a walk away from the 3 sisters and really close to shops. Wont stay again.

The motel was in a great location - especially so as we were travelling without a car and were relying on public transport. Very close to a bus stop and a short walk to Echo Point and the 3 Sisters. The room was clean and spacious, and reception were friendly and helpful.

This is a tough review to write. Its only a low star motel but there is quite abit that could be done to make the traveller experience better. Our room was fairly clean and the bathroom was not modern but was clean. Its smelt quite badly when we first arrived but we aired it and that was fine. My son described it as a medieval bathroom but also commented it was the best shower we had on our whole trip around NSW.

Beds were quite comfy however the blue bedspread thing really needs to be replaced. It felt a little grubby. I am unsure why the electric blankets are on the bed in summer. I had to continually pull the blanket to the side to save from having an uncomfortable night on it. Just take it off in summer.

Cobwebs were on the door number which kinda set the tone for our stay. A simple wipe and a little TLC could make it much more pleasurable. The bins are very small in the room, a more modern larger one would be better for guests. A quick wipe of the corners of the room would be good too to ensure rooms are very clean. It was very quiet and peaceful at night which is a plus and its very close to the 3 sisters and echo point. Would I stay here again, possibly if a little facelift is done. Just some simple changes would be great, abit of paint and some changes to the bedding and it would make a huge difference.

Stayed at this motel and was impressed. Older style property which has been updated with comfy bed, nice furnishings & fittings. Was impressed with the water pressure and the fact I didn’t run out of hot water. Very well priced and value for money / only a short walk to view the valley and the 3 sisters.

Operating covid style, got a call to advise the room number, key was inside to reduce contact. Friendly service.

I’d stay here again - and from observation plenty stay as all 20 rooms were full on the night I stayed

My daughter and I stayed here for one night and we were very happy with our experience. The room was simple but very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was also peaceful and we both had a great sleep. With free parking outside our door, an efficient check-in/check-out process and easy access to some incredible views, we would definitely stay at this motel again. We booked directly through the motel's website which proved to be excellent value for money.

I know the hotel is only three stars but I still had an expectation of it being comfortable and clean, but it was not the case.

The carpet looked like it wasn’t vacuumed properly, the beds were creaky and very uncomfortable, there were spiders in the cornices, the light cover in the bathroom was broken, spiderwebs at the entrance to our room.

The only saving grace was that it was within walking distance to Echo Point lookout and short drive to Scenic World!

Also note that there is free wifi but I think it’s only limited to a number of devices!

We found the room to be adequate for our needs. The bed was comfortable & the shower had very good pressure. However the bathroom & front door were swollen which made them hard to open & close. The carpet had huge ripped threads exposed, which were a trip hazard. Clearly the bathroom has only ever been given a quick clean, as the stains on the floor & wall are removable. I cleaned some off with cleaning wipes. We were only able to watch movies etc by mirroring from our phones as the TV didn't recognise the wifi. It could be a lovely little motel if the rooms were properly maintained & are in need of an update.

Hi. There was not one in our room and I don't think there was one on offer at the office. Sorry
Answer from 3sistersmotel
There is a shuttle service 686 leaving from the Carrington just near the station which is $2.40 per person or the Explorer bus is free and it will drop you near the Motel or a taxi will cost about $10.00 so depending on how many people you may be better getting the taxi from the station. Thanks Pat
