Dalia's Blue Mountain Retreat is a large two storey Country Manor located on the edge of the Katoomba Escarpment with SPECTACULAR 180° uninterrupted views over the Jamison Valley. This is NOT a Hotel. Moments walk to the famous 3 Sisters at Echo Point. The house has 2 self contained apartments and a studio. * Cloud 9 - upstairs apartment, sleeps up to 5 guests * Sterling Manor - the downstairs apartment - sleeps up to 5 guests * Garden of the Stars - a spacious studio sleeps 2 guests. Located on the left wing of the house. All apartments enjoy Smart TV with NETFLIX and have Air Conditioning, heating and fans where appropriate. The only shared space where you may meet other guests is in the downstairs courtyard and the terraced gardens. Each apartment has it's own reserved deck or viewing platform to take in the breathtaking views. Our 5 Star reviews speak for themselves! We offer excellent customer service with easy self checkin key lockbox from 3pm unless available earlier on request

Highly recommended!! We had an amazing three night stay at Dalia's Cloud 9 at the end of October. We're from the U.S. Rocky Mountains, so, as our train from Sydney approached the Blue Mountains, we felt a bit underwhelmed. But then we arrived at Cloud 9 and had our own awe inspiring view of the Jamison Valley from our huge deck! What a perfect place to stay--we had cocktails and dinner out on the balcony; there are no words to describe the peace and beauty. Having this view day and night just doesn't compare to visiting the tourist sites and then staying at a hotel. Seeing the changing weather (fog, clouds above you, then below you, then clear!!) and night stars was incredibly special. Thanks, Dalia for sharing this amazing place with us!
Location: we had no car and the location was very walk-able. Easily accessible via public transport (just around the corner from the Echo Point bus stop) and multiple restaurant options within an easy walk. We hiked amazing trails from the house using tips from Dalia's info. We've done a lot of hiking around the world and in the Rockies, and these were some of the most amazing trails we've ever done.
Accommodation: Perfectly clean; everything you need to cook or enjoy to-go food. Comfortable beds, lovely living space and kitchen with that amazing view, nice bathroom. THE DECK!!! The cliff-side Astrological gardens were so beautiful--try to go mid-October to see more blooms than you can imagine!

This is without doubt the best scenic view I’ve ever had in any hotel or apartment! It’s truly breathtaking, from sunrise you get gorgeous orange sun beams coming across the mountain side and as the day goes on the blue mountains are clear for miles around. The sunsets are equally spectacular and I’d highly recommend having a bbq on the decking with the one provided with a nice cold beer as you look out upon the gorgeous landscape.
Each morning you are greeted by a flock of cockatoos, which aren’t afraid of making their presence known, really capping off the Aussie experience!
The apartment itself is very spacious and equipped with everything you could need. Location is great only a few minutes walk from echo point and 8 minute drive from scenic world or 5 minutes from katoomba. I was honoured to be invited to attend a special Winter Solstice weekend at this extraordinary property with fellow astrologers. There was plenty of room for everyone and we were able to socialise with other friends in the other suites. I slept on a sofa bed and it was very comfortable. The temperature inside was warm for the middle of June. There was ample room in the kitchen, the lounges were comfortable and we spent a lot of time around the table to enjoy the spectular views. It is close to the 3 Sisters. I unfortunately didn't walk in the Zodiac Garden but I would like to do so when I return hopefully in the spring when the flowers would be in bloom. I especially loved the booklet dedicated to Richard Sterling - it would be great if this could be available online. Overall it was a memorable experience.

The view is wonderful. We especially enjoyed the glorious sun rises from the patio room. The location was perfect - within walking distance to Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Katoomba Cascades, etc. The gardens are also beautiful. Our host Dalia is very pleasant.

The location is incredible! Views from the deck are just wonderful. We stayed in the full apartment - Cloud9 for the weekend. It has all amenities, room heater in every room, fully equipped kitchen, etc. Property owner and caretaker Dalia is lovely. She showed us around the multilevel gardens, themed on astrological signs and painstakingly looked after. In the morning you wake up to the mixture of bird calls and a beautiful sunrise over the distant hills. A few courageous cockatoos are happy to come and sit on the deck railings while looking at you expectantly. When they saw no easy food coming, they took off back to their hunting and foraging, but periodically came back for a rest. The echo point look out and various walking trails and just a short distance away, under 500m. But with our car handy (free parking in the drive way), we were able to explore several ones much further away. All on all, Cloud 9 is a great weekend getaway place for a couple or family, but longer stay would have been even more enjoyable for us - guess will have to do another time.

This well appointed Cloud 9 apartment is ideally located about 500m from Echo Point. The views across the Jamison Valley from both the living room and the kitchen are truely spectacular. My wife and I had 2 glorious days in the Stirling Manor apartment at Dalia’s Retreat. The apartment itself is very spacious ,comfortable , top quality linens and towels and a small serviceable kitchen. The real bonus here is the absolute stunning views from the large back deck which is perfect to sit on with a glass of wine at sunset or a coffee or tea in the mornings . If the weather is good , you will find yourself on the deck as often as you can . You can also enjoy the view from the spacious enclosed sunroom if it is a little cold or windy . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dalia’s and although she was not in residence during our stay, the self check in was easy. The house is situated in one of the best positions in Katoomba as you are only 100 m to the echo point lookout and only a 2 min drive into town to shops and restaurants.

Dalia’s Blue Mountain Retreat has three accommodation options and we were fortunate to secure a four night booking at Cloud9 fully self-contained one bedroom apartment.
The apartment had absolutely everything we had hoped for – a fully equipped kitchen, lovely bedroom, the necessary heating to combat the cold mountain days and nights, good quality linen, a super comfy and good sized lounge and living area all set in an fantastic location minutes from town and a three minute walk to Echo Point.
But the absolute star of this property is the view. When late afternoons got too cold for hiking we could relax in absolute comfort and watch the amazing colours shine over the Jamison Valley from the large windows and doors from the living and kitchen areas. No need to watch the tv because the view was something you could not take your eyes from.
This amazing property offers visitors everything you could want from a cosy, quiet and romantic getaway. We’ve been to the Blue Mountains many times over the past 35+ years and have never stayed at a property like this before. 10 out of 10 from us.

Very comfortable accommodation with a deck offering superb views of the valley, a beautiful sun room that was difficult to leave, lots of indoor games, puzzles, Netflix etc for the rainy day. Dalia is a warm and friendly host and all our concerns were addressed within minutes. We even had pre-warmed rooms on our check-in. Loved it.
