Just back from 2 nights stay at this beautiful Alpine lodge with incredibly friendly and helpful hosts, Claire an David. From bringing us tea or coffee in the evening as we sat in the cosy wood fire heated lounge to serving us wonderful coffee, ground specially in Melbourne , and delicious breakfast each morning, we were so well taken care of! Room was beautifully decorated, as was the Lodge, very comfortable with a spectacular view over Lake Jindabyne. Loved the Snowy Mountain toiletries provided and the great shower after a day of skiing! Highly recommend staying here while in Jindabyne!

Stayed at the lodge recently for two nights mid week. Can’t say enough about Claire and David’s hospitality, that’s so what makes this lodge a great stay. In addition the lodge has very comfortable rooms, great common area, a terrific breakfast included in the o/n rate, and great views over the lake. With only eight rooms it truely offers that boutique feel that is so often promised but seldom delivered.

Highly recommend, thanks Claire and David we will be back.

Claire and David are absolutely awesome hosts, very attentive, informative, and accomodating. We especially loved that they were always available for a chat and some anecdotes sharing.
The place is very well-located, 10min away from the shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and beyond expectations. David has some serious barista skills!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a place in the Snowy Mountains.

Awesome place to stay at Jindabyne, The rooms are clean and fresh, The common areas are inviting. The breakfast is healthy and filling. Hosts Claire and David are friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They're also a wealth of useful information about the area. Couldn't wish for anything more in a Jindabyne accomodation - we'll definitely be back.

We stayed there as a family of 3, for an impromptu overnight stay. Our request for an earlier check-in was accommodated. Loved the location with the views. The whole setup of the house is thought through. Very clean and the living room has a really cosy feel to it. Breakfast was varied and everything was tasty. Friendly owners. The only thing to note is that like in all private houses, you can hear the people next door to a certain extent. When we stayed, everyone was super quiet and our daughter went to bed early with no problems at all. It was great to have the living room to enjoy while she slept. Would certainly recommend it, we are definitely coming back.

My friend and I stayed at the Troldhaugen for 6 nights this past week, and we both loved it! The lodge itself is really pretty, with small but really nice comfortable rooms, great bathrooms, a couple of great common areas including fridges, lounges, books and games for all, and a cute little dining area for breakfast.
The owners, Claire and David are also part of the charm of this place. They made our stay so easy and were always very friendly and happy to help us with any questions we had. They also checked up on us and made sure we were alright during our stay, and how our activities were going. You could not ask for better hosts.
Highly recommend Troldhaugen Lodge and I will definitely be staying again if I return to Jindy.

We just spent 3 nights here with our one year old. The owners, Claire and David, are so helpful and friendly. Our room was s very comfortable with a beautiful view over Lake Jindabyne. Breakfast was a lovely spread and the common areas were fantastic. A short drive to town or 10-15 min walk - highly recommend.

The owners are really welcoming, thoughtful and organised and do everything they can to help you enjoy your stay here. The lodge is well looked after and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We slept downstairs by the pool table, and the owners made sure that the room was quiet once we went to bed. The continental breakfast is enough to get your energy up for the slopes, with a toastie machine which we made the most of! The guest fridges were useful to store some treats and drinks for our apres ski! Would thoroughly recommend Troldhaugen Lodge as somewhere to relax at after a day at the slopes or if hiking over summer.

We stayed here for a long weekend whilst visiting the area for skiing. Claire and David who run the place are very welcoming and helpful in every respect. Our room had a wonderful view out over Jindabyne and the lake and was cozy. The ensuite bathoom and shower of an older style, but very clean and functional. David says he is slowly working round the building replacing all the bathrooms though so your room may well have a new one. They bought the lodge in a very run down state 3 years ago, and have made huge improvements to it since then, with more to go. I like the art on the walls too! Breakfast is simple and sufficient with cereals, fruit, toast, coffee etc., and the dining area is clean and comfortable also with great view. We had a great weekend and will definitely come back! Thank you Claire and David
