l definitely recommend staying here - Mad Mooses is a great base for snow activities.

Lovely friendly atmosphere and they were great with our 3yo daughter and same again when we took her back as a 4yo!

Great hot breakfast before heading out is so convenient.

We'll definitely be back! :)

Contrary to what Mr Kereh_P has written about the Moose, i had a thoroughly enjoyable time at Mooses, and just happened to be there at the same time Mr Kereh_P was there. Ive never heard a more arrogant person, and wonder how his wife stands being around him. He continually made everyone staying there uncomfortable acting the fool. I have stayed in this guesthouse every year for nearly 15 years, and never have i heard a complaint about anything at Mad Mooses. I guess some people were just dropped on their head on the wrong side of bed. I thoroughly recommend Mad Mooses for a comfortable and warm stay with friendly hosts who go that extra for you.

What a find this turned out to be! I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend for a last minute Thursday/Friday/Saturday ski weekend at Perisher opening week of school holidays (unlucky!). Not wanting to spend a lot of money on accommodation and after going in with "budget / lodge style" expectations I was pleasantly surprised on a few fronts and certainly think it was value for money and will be staying again

Stewie the host was very helpful, from the initial email regarding availability to the payment to showing us around to the sensational breakfasts she cooks every morning (this was included in our rate and there were a couple of options to choose from, all very substantial and a great start to a day on the slopes). All of the other staff were really friendly too and it was certainly a place you could relax and feel comfortable in utilising the common areas and generally making yourself at home

Rooms were comfortable and well sized and very nicely heated, ours had a queen bed with a set of bunks as well as a wardrobe but no TV. whilst we opted for the shared bathroom option we were only sharing the bathroom with two other rooms and not once couldn't access the bathroom when we wanted to. The bathroom was very clean at all times and looked to reasonably new

The lodge itself has a great vibe including two seperate living style areas with TVs and big comfy couches one with a nice fireplace, as well as a couple of different dining table options, a fully equipped kitchen, guest fridge, billiard table and a dry bar where you can store and mix up your own beverages

Given the time of year we went it was also a great bonus to find they not only had a substantial drying room (where we could also store our board and skis overnight) but they also had a boot drying rack

Location was good too only a 2 minute drive to Jindabyne shops, a distance you could definitely walk but given the temperature we decided to drive instead. Very handy being so close to restaurants, woolworths, ski shops etc

If you book this place keeping in mind it is a lodge / B&B style accommodation with shared common areas it's pretty hard to go past if youre looking for value for money accommodation that won't cost an arm and a leg during the height of ski season

Just stayed in the 2 bed apt for a quick weekend down from Sydney to clim Mt Kozi, place was spotless and really cozy, kitchen had everything you could ever need, shower was powerful with plenty of hot water for four people, location was perfect within a few minutes walk of restaurants/shops etc. Beds were absolutely glorious and a joy to climb into after our day hiking. Recommend this place highly!!

Another year at the snow means another year staying at the Mad Moose! This is my 5 yr now we have returned! Like the last time and the time before that, it's still the best in Jindy. Stewie and Gemma are the best hosts to make your time away comfortable and unforgettable! Thanks again guys. I'll be back next year⛷⛷⛷🏂🏂

I've frequented Perisher and Jindy every year since I was 10.
I have stayed at a range of places but after staying here, I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
The accom was clean, staff were amazing and very accommodating. I've stayed here with a group of 10 friends as well as with family. The home cooked brekky is the absolute bomb! Really fills you up for a long day of skiing. I found it reasonably priced, but to be honest, after staying here once, we never ended up comparing prices elsewhere as we were so happy. It was great, as the rooms had kitchenette facilities, so we were able to make our own meals and buy food for the week and take it up the mountain.
Would highly recommend :)

I have been going to Mad Mooses for the best part of 20 years. The service is always great - friendly, efficient and helpful. Stewie and her team make the best big breakfast to fuel skiiers and snowboarders too!

My partner and I have been staying with Mad Mooses every season for over 4 years now! We love the atmosphere, we love the food,we love the staff like our family and have never felt so welcome in any other place we have stayed in Jindabyne or anywhere else for that matter. Great value for money and would highly recommend for families, big groups, small groups and couples!

My partner and I discovered the Moose 3 season ago and have stayed there ever since. Great Vibes and it feels like your at home on your first visit. Stewie and Gemma are very helpful, easy to talk to and they cook up a hell of a breakfast! Exactly what you need before a day on the snow. All the rooms we have stayed in have always been clean and tidy, with loads of room to move around in. They are also nice and toasty warm for when you get back after a long day on the snow. Upstairs there is a nice big fireplace with 2 separate lounges so your not on top of others staying there. Upstairs near the lounge they also have a good sized pool table to play around on. We have recommend Mad Mooses to all of our friends and they have also loved the place. So If your looking for somewhere to stay in Jindabyne that is central to everything, not too expensive and fun! I couldn't recommend it enough <3<3 J&E

Stayed here again our third year in a row and still is the best accommodation and customer service I recommend. Stewie and her hubbie are the most friendliest people I know and they make sure you are comfortable with every visit. The rooms are very comfortable and warm on your return from a great day on the slopes. There is nothing better than waking up to Gemma's hot breakfast in the morning. She is a magic host. The rooms are very private and most have ensuites. I highly recommend the newly renovated loft as it has great views of the lake.
