While on a wander down the Main Street of Glen Innes we stopped in here for a drink. This was the day of the races but the main bar area was still pretty quiet. There is also a separate dining area for those looking for a sit down meal. Good service and good atmosphere in an authentic country pub.

We arrived on motorbikes on evening fall on a cold winters night. The fires were lit, and there was a warm welcome. It is a 110 year old pub with accommodation upstairs and it has that feel. We had three singles in a warm room on a cold night. The rooms were clean and the beds had crisp white sheets.
Call ahead and book. We ate a great steak in the dining room, with a roaring fire and a good selection of whites and reds. As it was a Saturday night, they had a local band on. Having a few Dark ales, and listening to live music in from of a fire is a great way to spend a Saturday night when it's cold and rainy outside.
No breakfast in the morning, but there's a few diners in town. Make sure you take a walk around town. You can go out on the balcony and look over town over the cresselated cast iron balcony and check out Glen Innes in the morning sun.

Yay….. found a pub with a decent zero alcohol beer. The menu is spectacular and the food is top notch. Still working on the ambiance but so far so great. They might set up a zero hero corner to meet the customer needs.

Sat on the verandah in winter sunshine to enjoy a counter lunch and a beer. Watched the locals come and go. Had a look around and this hotel has some history. They appear to have rooms to let and a communal shower out on the way to ladies room.
Service was good and the food came pretty fast too and I thought it was good value. Hot meal and a beer each for less than $70...can't do that in Melbourne. Worth dropping in to watch the locals.

I went out with a few friends for a few beers on the weekend I took $50 with me thinking that would be enough for the night, I was very disappointed. For the price it’s not worth it I only had three beers and got about $10 change. When asked how much the beers cost the staff replied I don’t know and took my money. At times the bar staff were confused at the pricing they just walked away and then come back with a price, my friends were annoyed.

Don’t order a cocktail because bar staff aren’t trained properly and don’t know how to make any of them, plus because you’ll be paying about $15 or more for it. We asked for a Long Island iced tea and they asked us what was in it and also a tequila sunrise and she said she’s doesn’t know how to make it and gave a fruit tingles instead.. costing about $35 for both..

There was only three bar staff which wasn’t enough for the amount of people getting drinks so you had to wait a long time.. so if you want to have a good night out with friends I’d suggest pre drinks at home or going to another pub..

Travelled to Emmaville a couple of weeks ago (we live about an hour away) to see if we could find a good pub meal; which is just what we got at the Club Hotel. Lovely old hotel, built around 1880 I think. My wife and I had hamburgers which were close to the best we'd ever tasted.

The atmosphere of the place was just like stepping back in time.

Highly recommended.

We had a friend visiting from Brisbane and thought we'd go to the Club Hotel for dinner.
The restaurant was closed so we had our meal in the lounge.
The Blue Parmigiano was well cooked and tasty with an assortment of lovely fresh vegetables.
The pasta super bowl was very generous, creamy with great flavors.
The Thai beef salad as a gluten free alternative was delicious with plenty of beef, garnished with cashews.
The dining area is in bad need of a refresh along with the restroom facilities. (Which is underway)
We found all the staff and management very helpful and friendly.
