Stayed here at the bush camping island mid Christmas school holidays for 4 days.
I've been up here at least 5 times now over the last 8 year's. Each time I find the island well cared for with mowed grass, open space and it feels like I'm in a National Park. My daughter loves coming up here especially since she is now competent on a bike. (6 years old) It's about 1.8km from the end of the island to the front gate. The toilets on the island are clean like the main park. There are activities for the little ones at the main park in peak school holidays which is fun for her. There are 2 in-ground pools adjacent to the toilet blocks which are a popular feature. The location of the park is great for shopping at the local shopping centre (500m from front gate) as well as a KFC or McDonald's if you want to eat this. There is a flat ground cycleway that takes you into Foster which Is about 2 km away. I'm happy to recommend this place, affordable, well cared for, non invasive staff, free range camping.
And a bonus 2pm checkout.

We stayed for 4 nights on a powered site. Great sized sites (9x9?) big enough for our rear fold Cub camper trailer, annexe area and dual cab ute. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shower blocks were a bit dated but in excellent repair and always clean. Barbecue area, laundry and camp kitchen were all clean and well maintained. Shower water pressure and flow were excellent. Boom gate with passcode meant that non guests couldn’t just come in which I liked. Handy location just 2 mins to Woolworths, Coles, Bunnings etc and walking distance to McDonalds and KFC if you wanted. Pools were a bit cold as not heated but the kids still had a swim every day. Kids playground and cafe were also great to amenities. Tony’s Point Island looked a great place to bush camp and launch a little boat. We will be back and will recommend this gem to our friends.

My partner and I made a last minute decision to go to forster as we love a local mexican restaurant, we live 2 hours away so requires us to stay either over night over over a weekend. This particular time forster was completely booked out and the only accommodation available was a loft cabin at this holiday park. We were going to give it a miss but later decided to give the park a try, from the moment we booked the staff we amazing, the cabin was clean and tidy and even had a little coffee station with milk, tea, coffee and sugar provided. Fresh linen and comfy beds. We enquired about a late check out, being such a quick trip at a fair distance we thought to make the most of out little getaway, the lady I dealt with ( I'm sorry I did not get her name) was fantastic and happy to to provide a late check out as the cabin was not booked out for the following day. We were made to feel like we were the only guest staying and our getaway was their top priority, ( I'm definitely sure this is the case for all guests) but it was just a great feeling to know that you were not just a "booking" they genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time whilst at their park.We honestly recommend this place 100% and can't fault our experience, we already plan to go back and take the kiddies along for a family trip.

Lani’s Holiday Island in Forster NSW was very disappointing especially being a G’Day parks member. The reception was friendly but we were given a caravan site at the back of the park which was spacious enough only to find that there was no power pole to plug into so had to move to another vacant site. The amenity block for the 10 sites consisted of 2 toilets and 1 small shower per Gents & Ladies. These were decorated with spider webs and bugs, plus no hot water, soap or paper towels for hand washing. The shower did have hot water and good pressure. The whole park has a neglected feel about it and were glad to only stay for 1 night for $50 (did not receive membership price) Location is ok, not far from Stocklands Shopping Centre and close to the water.

I needed a cheap and cheerful place to stay in Forster in an emergency and I found Lanis was offering a very reasonable deal for the period I needed to stay. The cabin I chose in my limited budget decor is possibly 1980’s but is very very clean and neat and tidy. Bring your own sheets and towels or hire is an option. I had a parking space and was right across from the ablution block which was good for me as I don’t like to parade myself in public in my PJs! Quiet and easy to get around. Close to shops 2 mins by car or a 30 min walk. Fast food outlets also with walking distant. A pleasure to stay at. Would recommend especially if in a budget. In the future I would like to check out and try the high end cabins and rentals there.
Only one criticism - the reception area could do with a spruce up!

Our family if 5 grabbed a short stay during covid period in the new cabanas over looking the pool. Great and clean comfortable cabin with plenty space. Even
with rain the island was beautiful and the creek was being enjoyed by many. Great clean park and lovely hard working park staff. Cabins are expensive but its January so it was expected.
Also a lovely simple small Cafe onsite with lovely husband and wife team.

If I could leave 0 Stars I would.

The management were rude and unprofessional. They were inflexible and not helpful at all.

The park is dated and left in disrepair, not to mention the amenities are falling apart and filthy.
I went to use the bathroom in a hurry and was unable to find any bathroom doors with locks on them, or a toilet without staining. I was worried to use the shower as they were stained and full of mould.

The park staff don't even care to clean the park of general rubbish, you can see it piled up in front of long term resident's caravans, as well as within the amenities. The smell travels throughout the park.

Safety in the park does not seem to be a worry for the management as we saw visitors speeding through the park, some who appeared to be driving under the influence and young people appearing too young to have a licence, driving the park's buggies throughout the park without any helmets.

I won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend anyone go holiday here

Best thing about Lanis is the coffee lady Sarah she's great and makes fantastic cappuccino. I'll start with the positives , cabin had good air conditioning and good shower. That's pretty much all that was good. Bed was disgusting and terribly uncomfortable. Found out why when we looked at Ensemble base both middle legs were missing! So we had to put mattress on to the floor to try and save our backs. Cabins really need an upgrade and to be honest so did the entire park. Very dated and run down

Absolutely disgusting amenities.
Bathroom and laundry need a good scrub!!!
A nice make overand regulary clean would be good!!!
Camp grounds are good but could do with better ground cover, our site had ripped ground cover, was torn to shreds, trip hazard.
I would give this park a 2 out of 5
