We only had one night in Forster on our road trip. We were so glad we chose Forstay from among numerous motels in the town. The location is a short walk to a wide range of restaurants and shops. Our room was exceptionally clean and well laid out. The bed was comfortable, the shower had great pressure, the curtains were dark, the towels were fluffy and the room had everything we needed - toaster, microwave, kettle, a fridge, tea, coffee, biscuites, cutlery, glassware, and crockery. The motel is quiet and very close to both the beach and the lake. The reception staff were very welcoming and informative about the region. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the region. Highly recommend.

The first thing you notice walking into the motel room is how clean and fresh everything is looking. Good location near beach and shops. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioner worked well. No problem with traffic noise and the rooms are well soundproofed with brick walls. The Forstay is well priced compared to other motels in Forster. Friendly staff - what more could you ask? Definitely on the list for our next trip to Forster.

I booked a twin room for me and my nephew. I was quoted $135.00. On checking in, I was told that they had allocated a queen bed only, and that if I wanted twin beds it would cost an additional $60.00. The owner/manager was rude and inflexible.

The rooms weee well maintained with the standard facilities, neat bathroom, comfortable bed and short walk to town centre & the beach. The staff were so helpful and welcoming I really value them making me feel at home. One or two teething issues which we discussed and they’re aware of.

A surprisingly comfortable overnight stay. We needed accommodation for an o/nite stay en-route from Mooloolaba to Sydney. Not looking to spend $300. Reviews of this Hotel were all very positive. I can confirm those positive reviews - it is so VERY clean, room was spacious, shower hot, bed comfy and it had the requisite mini fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave etc. Streaming services available ✔️ Air con✔️ Off street parking ✔️ Very close to town, river and beach ✔️ Restaurants, cafes and pub nearby ✔️ Paid $150. I add that the entire property looks extremely well maintained.

My wife and I have stayed elsewhere at Forster before but their prices have gone up so we elected to try the more reasonably priced Forstay Motel. We were not disappointed, as it was clean and comfortable, offering us all we needed for a short stay. Short walks took us to the beach and foreshore, as well as to dinner at the Bowling Club. Would stay there again if the opportunity arises. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean room and property (nice cold aircon for summer), and very close to town and the beach - easy walk.
Didn’t hear a single sound outside even though the property is on a main road, and near a servo (we used the servo a couple of times as a convenience store).
Great value stay, especially considering it was a public holiday long weekend.

We booked a triple room, the room was a bit tight with the 3 beds. The motel was built in the early 90's and the decor hasn't been updated since then. The room and bathroom were clean with sufficient towels and linen. The aircon unit was very rattly however. The bathroom could do with a slighly longer curtain, people can see you as they walk past outside! The car spots are not allocated to the rooms which is a bit annoying. All in all ok for a short stay. I've read that there are plans to convert the motel to a boarding house (better investment returns!), and there is a huge petrol station development slated for next door, so it won't be be around much longer in its current form anyway. I thought it was a bit overpriced for what you get but it was peak season.

Comfy room and helpful staff. Well located with a short walk to dive shops, restaurants and shops and bridge to Tuncurry. Good value for the money. Free WIFI, small bar fridge, microwave, dishes and AC. Free parking. Thanks to the friendly staff with directions to local beaches, walkways and orientation of the area.
