My family and I stayed here again on Sunday 12th July 2020. This was our second visit. We stayed in room 1 and can confidently say that for the price this has to be one of the best rooms we have stayed in. Spotlessly clean, well appointed, comfortable beds with crisp linen and good quality doonas. The room smelt fresh and didn’t reek of the go to air fresheners most other motels use. Modern and quiet AC, very comfortable lounge to relax and watch TV, table and chairs, kitchenette with sink. Everything is in good condition. The bathroom is very good and the water pressure is 5 star. There is also an area with tables and chairs to sit in the sun with a cuppa or glass of wine and direct access to Woolies and the bowling club for a meal. Adrian the owner and his wife deserve an award for running such a fine establishment. Give them a go. You won’t be disappointed.

Just an overnight stay and basic room but it suited us. Good price and central location. Entrance to motel is from main street but motel and rooms are down a driveway away from traffic and very quiet. Back door of motel complex right across from Woolies supermarket.

The motel is in the middle of town, and is within easy walking distance to the Clubs, Pubs, Cafes & Shops.

There was plenty of easy car parking outside the motel room, and there was absolutely no road/traffic noise at night.

The room was large, comfortable and had all the modern conveniences. The bathroom was very clean. I did like the USB charging point for my mobile phone near the bed, something that other motels shouldd adopt.

This was the first time I have stayed at the Crest Motel, but it certainly won't be the last.

Although the room is very dated the room it was clean and ample crockery and cutlery was provided. However, the low star rating is probably an indication of the low level of service provided. I placed a card provided by management with instructions to Please Make Up My Room on the outside of our door before we left the motel for the day. I was very disappointed when we returned that evening to find the card still on the outside of the door and my request to make up our room had been totally ignored. Also, the complimentary milk and toiletries had not been replenished. The office was not opening again until 9am so I didn't know who to contact in order to get the items we needed and to find out why our room had not been made up.

We can only respond by saying that we are VERY disappointed at your comments and ratings which we believe are totally unfounded. You did not leave a make up my room sign out and I can assure you that both myself and my Head Cleaning member checked ALL the rooms that day for any servicing required. We also have an Information sheet in the welcome folder which clearly states that we provide initial milk/tea/coffee/toiletries etc but should you require any further items there is a Supermarket at our back gate - although in saying that we regularly give Guests additional supplies if asked. Our Reception was open 9am-7pm so no idea why you could not come and speak to us - AND we have a front doorbell for when the Reception is closed with a sign asking Guests to press it and wait and we would have come and spoken with you. We pride ourselves on the standard of service we provide to Guests and 99% of our Ratings reflect those -j ust disappointed that you could not speak face to face with us about any issues you may have had. as they say on their sign at the front, this motel is clean, quiet & comfortable. Nothing fancy, just the basics. While brick internal walls maybe look a bit dated, they are practical for helping with noise insulation. I didnt hear a sound from either adjacent rooms which were occupied. The location also is very convenient. Back gate gives easy access to Woolworths and bottleshop at rear & you can easily walk to all cafes, restaurants, clubs and hotels in town

This little motel is very clean and quiet. Conveniently located with the delightful new Kendal Street Cafe a short 2 min walk.

The pool mentioned on this site does not and has never existed.

Unfortunately the manager is altogether not a people person, and maybe he needs to retire back to Cairns at his earliest convenience.

Maybe telling motel guests how much you hate Cowra and “wouldn’t live there if you paid him” was not his finest moment!

He had a brusque manner not conducive to the hospitality industry. Having been in the industry myself for eighteen years my motto was always be friendly and welcoming no matter what personal crisis you may be having at any given time, your guests must always feel like VIP’s and not an inconvenience.

Needless to say, the cleanest room and comfiest bed will never compensate for an unfriendly host. Never.

We won’t be back and we travel to Cowra several times a year to visit family there.

Lynn The Crest is now under new management and we strive to make everyone's visit a quiet and comfortable one. There once was a pool but the previous owner had it removed - but we have replaced it with a lovely grassy BBQ area with lots of lovely plants and most Guests love to sit out down there now. Come back and stay with us to experience the difference now! The Crest.

In the middle town this motel really lived up to its description and some.
Our large room (4) had very comfortable queen bed, a sofa, table and chairs and lots of storage space.
A kitchenette in an above had a good size fridge for a motel and all we needed. Bathroom had a really big shower with good pressure and hot water.
Air conditioning worked well and was quiet.
Definitely good value for money and a great place to stay as a base to explore all Cowra has to offer. Another bonus was the private hotel access through to Woolworths which saved walking around the block.

Part of a longer journey our stay was very brief but our group of 2 couples found the service, room facilities and cleanliness first class. On exploring eating option s on Sunday night, the advice was very helpful. The rating of 4+ is appropriate.

The location is great - the Main Street on one side and Woolies BWS on the other.
The rooms are standard country motel rooms but the owners have made a real effort to make them comfortable. There is a kitchenette where you can make a simple breakfast, crockery and cutlery and coffee/tea facilities (Maccona coffee and English Breakfast teabags). The rooms are very clean and the bed is very comfortable with good quality linen. The water pressure is fabulous and the bathroom amenities good quality. The heater/air conditioner works well and is not too noisy.

What more could you ask for! One suggestion, book direct and support a small business!

Motel is in a great location walking distance to clubs pubs etc. Room was very clean with a basic kitchen. We had a continental breakfast included which was very nice. You have to remember this is a little country town so not much is open after 3pm but lovely to stroll around. My biggest complaint is motel owner he is not the most friendliest person he needs to work on his people skills.

We personally checked an empty room for confirmation of our room key opening another room. It worked.
Answer from Cowra Crest Motel
Cowra, Australia2 contributions4 helpful votes
The doors of the empty rooms are unlocked during the day for us to gain access to do a quick clean and airing. We lock them again before dark. As I have stated previously. I personally checked every room myself and none of the keys unlock a door except for the number it has been keyed for. All the keys are security keys, they all have a different cut to fit an individual lock and have been registered with our locksmith. The only key that can open all doors is my Master Key, there are only two and I have both of them. If you can't accept this then I don't know what else to say to you.

These rooms are relatively large so twin beds will not be a problem. Unsure about handles in the shower but the owner is extremely helpful and should be able to provide a solution for you.
