Over the Easter long weekend my wife and I decided to visit Cowra. For a long time I had wanted to visits the Japanese gardens and war memorial. Owing to the long weekend a number of restaurants were closed so we decided to visit the Imperial Hotel for dinner. We expected the usual pub scoff, but were pleasantly surprised at...

Dined tonight in a stylishly re-furbished old-world hotel. The menu was up-market pub food, but the food was delicious. Our "medium" steaks were a bit on the rare side, but still good. Steamed Veges were crisp and tasty. Only complaint was that the Gluten Free choices were limited.

Had the lamb shank tonight and it was excellent. Fell off the bone, mash was silk & the sauce was devine. Staff were excellent as the night before and craft brews were most welcomed. I will be back tomorrow & I will most likely tackle the Wagyu or Pork Belly.

I orderee the most basic of meals at a pub, schnitty and chips/salad. Mind blown, one of best snchitzels ive ever eaten. Sauce was ample and creamy (mushroom btw) chips were crispy and favorably salted. But the chicken schnitzel took the award for moat amazing part on the plate, hand made, whole breast, tenderloin on, large chunk crumbing and rock...

We stayed for one night in January. There is off-street parking to be found through an alleyway that leads beside the pub to the back yard. The bar has a good selection of craft beers on tap, and we had a couple and then got our key from a very friendly barman. We have stayed in many pubs, so have...

1st time at the Imperial since Richie took over. His food is first class. Tonight no exception. If I had to be critical the service was quick. It was going out for a meal and not out for dinner as an event itself. Having said that it is being tuff. I highly recommend this as a place to go to...

There are a few places to eat in Cowra including several hotels but the on site manager where we were staying recommended the Imperial Hotel. I reviewed the comments on TripAdviser and thought this would be good on a Friday night for dinner. My wife and I were not disappointed. There is an air conditioned restaurant area as part of...

Pastsing through and found imperial hotel. STeak sandwich $25- or hamburger $22- side salad $7-00 for small bowl. Main meals over $30-. Bottle of wine start at $28-00. And certainly not the place if you are looking for a quick meal. They use local meat on the steak sandwich which is the reason fir the high price.

My wife and I have had many really nice meals since the hotel has been under new management but I'm sorry to say our lunch today (25 November) was very disappointing. To start with we were the only table left and we waited 45 minutes for our meal. Both arrived cold and the salad was wilted. My wife had a...
