Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

HORRENDOUS!! We had a double room which looked out on to the unmaintained garden. We had two bathrooms and two rooms. The hot water took 10 minutes to heat up, the basin and shower tap fell off. The Lounge was absolutely filthy. To top it off the receptionist which i have a feeling was the owner was very rude upon check in. The room was $220.00 per night, not worth it at all. Absolutely disgusted! We both could not wait to get back home for a shower. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Thank you, Fiona, for the feedback. When you did your booking, you selected the 1 bedroom apartment. The gardens are maintained but we have plants that will survive the colder months. As this is a large property it does take a little while for the hot water to heat up. We will have maintenance attend to the taps, and it will be fixed immediately. We will also inspect the lounge and clean if required. These issues should have been mentioned to reception and they would have been addressed straight away, not a week later via a review. Our staff are friendly and helpful and by no means rude.

Pictures are not the same as the place I stayed, funky wooden country bar area, visited may 2022 ate in here for 3 nights in a row, after the first night the food was so good kept going back. Still to this day I have not had such good steaks and ribs. clean rooms, great staff, good wines ohh that Shiraz. The owners know how to look after you. Husband and wife team with a daughter but all staff are so friendly. planning a trip back hope it's still the same.

A very ordinary motel and way overpriced for the quality of the room. No issues with cleanliness but it really is a 60's style motel. If you were anyway obese you would struggle to get into or out of the shower. The motel was advertised as having a good quality, on site , restaurant but it was closed when we arrived as they had lost their cook !!

Unfortunately, things happen with staff. We are looking for another Cook, but they seem very hard to come by. We will be doing renovations to the rooms very soon and getting rid of the small shower screens

Overall the room was ok: the room was quite big & there was loads of luggage/ski storage. The bed was large & comfy with loads of pillows. The ensuite was quite small & probably challenging for large people, but the hot water was great. There was the usual microwave & tea & coffee facilities. The room also has a smart tv with Netflix included. A nice touch was the provision of various large dispensers for body lotion, shampoo, shaving cream etc next to the sink & shower. While there were power points next to the bed, you had to unplug the bedside light to plug in a phone charger as they were quite small. While getting rooms at the back blocked some street noise (it’s on the main street), the walls are quite thin so I could hear the guy next door on his phone all night. What a pity the place was let down by grumpy staff. When checking in they complained I was early, when I asked about staying another night they said “it wasn’t their problem”. They obviously benefit from regular customers so don’t make an effort for casuals. I soon found a better option. This place is also known as Redhill Cooma Motor Inn, quite confusing as there are several places all with very similar names.

Thank you for the feedback, We are very sorry to hear that our staff were not helpful. We now have a new Manager who looks after the guests the best way she can. We used to be called the Sovereign Inn for many years, and there is another motel not far from us called the Cooma Motor Lodge.

Easy check in, parking out front, restaurant onsite. The shower door entry is for minors, any wider than 40cm and you would not have been able to enter the shower. The walls are very thin so you do hear every noise, not from the street as may be expected however from your neighbours. Very basic room and amenities. Third bed for our child was street level right next to a window. Didn't feel secure so an adult slept in the single that night. Fan attached to bathroom was noisy, fortunately there is another light you can use above the sink. Not the cheapest in town however didn't really offer much to us other than a place to sleep for the night.

Looking at other reviews, I wonder whether we were in the same motel. The walls are super thin and you can hear EVERYTHING. The bed was really uncomfortable and it was all round pretty bad. It was very run down. After a long drive, we just wanted a clean and comfortable room. No such luck.

Ups … Great location with good Chinese restaurant across the street. Room was spacious and clean. Great shower. Downs … it was cold and uninviting when we walked in. Bed was so hard and uncomfortable my hubby has a aching back and shoulder. Sleep quality is important to us. We will hope for a more comfortable bed at another motel on our next visit to Cooma.

Service was 5 star!! Room was exactly what we needed, was clean and neat. We had 4 children under 2 so the washing machine and dryer in the apartment was very appreciated. Food was next level - so good after a long day of driving. Will definitely be our place of choice to stay whenever we travel through Cooma.

We stayed here overnight from Sydney to Victoria trip. We had the 2 bedroom unit. It is spacious & has 2 bathrooms as well. There is great heating & a good kitchen area. We enjoyed happy hour drinks and then dinner in the restaurant. The meals were very good. Overall it was a really enjoyable stay.
