Loved the location by the water, close to shops, cafes and amenities. Super friendly reception on check in. Apartment has a distinct 80s feel with worn and broken furniture. Less than impressed by cleanliness, topped by food still in microwave. Not the best experience starting off with a house clean. Won't be back.

Stayed here from 24th Feb to 3rd March, nice, comfortable apartment, very big but lacks personality. Could do with a few decorative touches, very utilitarian. Our apartment looked over Arden Street which was very noisy with evening revellers and traffic noise. I would advise getting the highest floor apartment to try and avoid the noise. The best thing about the...

The location was good - opposite the park overlooking the beach. The standard is very basic - it is not a luxury apartment , despite the high price. Beds are hard - aircon circulates very poorly. The standard of furnishings is very basic. Very badly maintained - several of the fixtures dont work . The internet service is very poor...

My husband and I booked this apartment for an event in Sydney. The drama started when I arrived at 4.30pm and there was no one in reception and despite ringing 3 numbers on the booking form could not get any one to answer or respond. The booking info said that office hours were til 5pm and they did provide after...

We had a two night stay in a 2brm apartment on the 8th floor so had a great view of Coogee beach. The apartment was very spacious, main bedroom with ensuite and another large bathroom. Kitchen, laundry, huge dining/living space and we had a balcony. On the down side the beds were really hard (no soft top layer) and the...

We first stayed at Coogee View in 2007 and thought the place was a palace. It's still great, but it is starting to look dated. Positives: - the location, right on the sea front - space, having an apartment is so much better than just a hotel room when you have a family - value for money - good storage...

We stayed in the 2 bedroom street level apartment for 2 nights and I feel internally conflicted in reviewing it. On the positive side the building is in a great location right at the southern end of the beach. It was also very large and even had a large terrace. On the downside it was noisy being right on the...

These units are a good size as is the balcony and the position is excellent but if you get a unit on Arden Street side the noise will keep you awake all night as the buses are constant as is the pinging noise of the pedestrian lights. These units need a really good clean and it was disappointing that the...

Booked this through Yourhomeawayfromhome. Ideally located, with partial good sea view, and good free parking. Apartment was very spacious, but not brilliant inside, such as very stained carpet. Certainly not the 'gorgeous' accommodation detailed by agent or expected by photographs and high price paid. It would seem apartments all individually owned and we were told by agent they therefore have...

Staying in Coogee

Neighbourhood Profile
Coogee
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
