Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Decided to stay local, after seeing Sting at Bimbadgen. I had prebooked the accommodation the year before-no drama there. Many of the other accommodation premises were already booked out for that night. Booking over the phone was easy and the receptionist was very helpful. We arrived on the day & picked up the key from reception. We had a room furthest away from the road. The room was small but neat, clean, tidy & quiet. My first issue was the price of the room-$246.00 with no breakfast included. I knew at the time of booking that there wouldn't be one but I was hoping for a meal voucher at least. I was told I could have breakfast at Maccas, or Oportos across the road. My second issue is the size of the carpark spaces. We have and average size SUV, we are both slightly build persons and it was a very tight fit between cars. In other words, this place may be close to your destination but it is not value for money.

Don't you dare come down with Covid the night before you travel. Because they don't care. No refund. Terrible customer service as well. you'd think after years of Covid, these places would be understanding. No doubt they sold my room without a hassle. The phone call I got ordering me to cancel my hotel room through booking.com (i didn't) proves that. AVOID.

The room was clean and the location convenient, but other than that it was terrible. We thought the traffic noise from the road may be a problem, but instead we had what appeared to be regulars staying in the room next door talking all night and we could hear them through the walls. We got no sleep! The bedside light wasn't working, the smell of some floral cleaning product when we arrived was way too strong and the bed end seemed very worn or dirty. We would not recommend this to others.

Positives - Room was a decent size (Standard queen room) with a small table and chairs and kitchenette. Room was clean and affordable. Negatives - Bathroom sliding door was broken and would not close. Bedside light broken. Shower did not have any water pressure - more of a dribble than a shower. No wi-fi reception in the room. "Heated" pool was cold and needed a clean. Pillows were hard and thin. According to the hotel website breakfast is available but we were told that breakfast is not available. When I mentioned some of these issues to the lady in reception she was not interested and said that the people in our room before us had not complained so everything must be OK.

Well located and clean premise. Tiny rooms but that’s ok. Close to the wineries without having to pay inflated wine-country prices. Fast food eateries opposite motel, pub down the road and Coles supermarket short walk away. Only downside is the poor wifi reception and the low water pressure of the shower.

First time here snd I was very impressed. The rim was a good size, bed very comfortable, bathroom clean, plenty of space with everything one would need. There are a few fast food dining options just across the street and plenty of restaurants a 5 minute drive way in Cessnock/ The reception staff were efficient at check in and check out and the room was always tidy whenever I came back from my local travels. Pool on premises. Great for families. I would thoroughly recommend this motel.

Fantastic little motel which was very clean & well maintained. Rooms are on the smaller side but nice decor. Man at reception was very friendly & had a good knowledge of the area. A parking space per unit which is a bonus. I would recommend this hotel to families

We arrived today at 12pm and we were able to check into our room straight away. We are staying in the family room, 1 queen and 2 singles. Fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. The place is absolutely immaculate and plenty of room. Across the road is oportos and McDonald’s, IGA and Woolworths 10 mins walk away. It’s literally a 10 min drive to Hope estate. I’m so happy I chose this hotel it’s perfect distance to everything and the staff are friendly. Will definitely stay again and recommend this to anyone coming to the hunter.
