We stayed for one night only at Cessnock Vintage Motor Inn. The rooms were clean and basic with all the main necessities. Upon our arrival at approx 1pm there was no reception to get organised to check in although we were not due to check in until 2pm anyway. The location was great for us as we were watching some live music in town this night and it was an easy and close walk into town. Parking available for outside the room - if downstairs. Bed was comfortable and the pricing was reasonable. The shower had enough water pressure and provision of hygiene items was given. We did not have much to do with the staff as we only got to see someone upon check in however the dealing was lovely. No one in the office on departure but there is the option to leave key in locked box on the wall.

Stayed Sat night after attending red hot summer concert. Friendly helpful staff. Dont let outside looks deter you. Clean and quiet. Good value. Comfy bed and biscuits You can see new owners are in process of upgrading. Help them out and book a room during these tough tourism times. We booked again for Nov 20. James Blunt. 3.5 stars.

Looks can be somtimes deceiving. At first glance a “ nothing out of the ordinary”. If your after a pleasant stay while you go to the concerts at the Estate venues this is it . Perfect location to catch the bus ( it starts from right outside the door so no waiting in the street) Close to pubs and the bowling club for a good feed. Take a walk round town to get the feel for a classic small country town . Thanks guys see you soon

The Motor Inn is a most comfotable and affordable place for visiting the famous Hunter Valley which is only a few kilometers away. It is close to town shops and restaurants. As well, the hosts are interested in the history of the area and are currently beautifying the place with new gardens. A delightful alternative to the more costly accommodation in the centre of the valley. Highly recommended.

Stayed 2 nights with a large group. Hospitality demonstrated by Anthony & Ellie was AMAZING, I've frequented many 5 star hotels / resorts which could learn a thing or 2 from this hospitality team!!
Clean rooms, comt bed and fantastic on-site facilities which will only get better in time! Upgrading pool area to included a shaded area for groups to have good yarn and a beer whilst enjoying the fire pit or cool swim in the pool. Highly recommended and we will be back to share a beer with the Ellie & Anthony!

I booked this place by mistake as I had confused it with another far higher rated motel however I was not disappointed.

I was here by myself for two nights and staying in Cessnock which has the disadvantage of not being in the vineyards but has the advantages of being a lot cheaper with plenty of good "cheap eats" options (important when just on my own) which are also a rarity around Pokolbin.

The room was clean, had adequate space and parking, good TV reception, a comfortable bed and a good shower i.e. it ticked all the essential boxes. The main negatives were no wi-fi or hair dryer.

Old, shabby and (like me) you might have to remove a dead cockroach from the shower recess before you use it. I think they call it vintage so that they don't have to spend any money on maintaining it. And we paid $190 for one night's stay in a room for 2 people. Very shabby and very very expensive. Not recommended.

On arrival, we were not told where our room was but we found it with ease. Albeit not the fanciest place in town, it was very clean (including the bathroom) and the beds were comfortable. With a flat screen TV, an air-conditioner and tea/coffee making facilities (including Arnott biscuits) we felt very comfortable. Note, this is not a place you want to sit around in, but it is a very easy distance from the Hunter Valley and all for a very reasonable price. On the back of the key was a mention that the place was run by the local bowling club, so it felt good to give back to the community.
