Detailed Reviews
My partner and I order the steak and snitty. The food was fantastic! Such a good pub feed and meal size was perfect. The atmosphere of the dinning area was lovely but unfortunately overshadowed by the loud music and conversations coming from the staff kitchen.

The first three things we ordered were gone. We ended up with parmas. They were huge and delicious. Service was ok. Though you get what you pay for, I would have happily taken half the food for half the price and been fine. Basically, you could share one if you aren’t starving.

I've stayed here a couple of times and it's a great place. Off street parking. Very good restaurant downstairs (nothing fancy but well cooked meals). Close to the train and the main street. Beds are great. Had trouble with the TV but someone was able to help with that. Bit weird having a sink in the bedroom but we coped. Clean, quiet and functional. Great value.

If there was a rating button to select for "condemn" or "wear a hazmat suit" I would click it over and over again. Old and disgusting and find the good reviews are very misleading. If you're a smoker and don't mind mould this is perfect. Our room was literally next to the outdoor smoking area tables and with a 2 inch gap under the door the room stank in fact even the whole entire dining area and indoor drinking area smelt disgusting - they leave all the doors open so the smokers were right by the doors and all went inside. We asked to change rooms away from the smokers and the next room was filthy covered in mould, dirt, bugs etc. One of the pillows looked overused so opened up and the protector was full of stains. Manager stated rooms are professionally cleaned - my photos prove otherwise. That's when we contacted booking.com who contacted the manager and he would not give us our deposit back and we lost out. A second booking.com worker contacted them again after looking at our photos but the manager couldn't give a toss. We left really ticked off and stayed at the Comfort Inn and wow it was so clean, the owners clearly took a lot of pride in what they did - worth 5 stars and cheaper!!!!

The picture of the place are more deceiving than a used car salesman. The motel is old and definitely not worth the $220/night they charge. Broken curtains dirty windows sills and sink on the main room, which does not show in the photos. The bed was comfortable, which was the only plus for the room. We ate in the hotel section, and food was classic pub style and reasonably priced and taste delicious. Eat at three pub and stay elsewhere is my take.

If you like to pay $165 per night for a run-down, cobweb filled, broken down room, then this is the place for you. The list of negatives are too long to list. Our booking made in July 2022 was not even in their system. This should have been a red flag. My advice is AVOID at all costs.

Besides the bedbugs and lack of room servicing, broken fixtures in room, no milk for tea and coffee. No food available in bar or restaurant. This place is really a dump. Their website tells lies and the posted room pictures were obviously when it was newly built. Go to Strahan or anywhere else. Wonder why the manager nicked off before we arrived and left the bill on the bed with keys in door. Wonder why there were no other room guests for the 3 days we were there? Yes we were duped by internet misrepresentation.

Street view is not good, blinds hanging off in room. Couldn't find the reception area. Parking area was unkept. Was given a key to a room which was not made up. Area outside and room smelt. The hotel is closed. We forfeited our money and stayed elsewhere.

We had a group of 15 of us for a meal. All of the meals were sensational and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was great having such a warm reception after lots of travelling on the Tassie roads.
Much appreciated!
We will come back in future and take advantage of the accomodation.

Confluence Hotel bar is a delight.
A thoughtfully decorated cosy bar space. It has excellent craft beers and Tasmanian wines and cocktails. The staff were friendly helpful and incredibly welcoming. A real surprise packet and a contrast to the Queenstown bars of old.
