Wow. The beauty & heritage of the house was only surpassed by the sensational hosts Karen & Steve. You are welcome and encouraged to immerse yourself in the various rooms, ports, billards table and more, socking up the heritage. Room was very comfortable, home made fruit cake waiting, and simply the best host service I enjoyed over 5 weeks of travelling Tassie. Absolute no-brainer to recommend. I will return for a longer stay

Loved our one night stay there! Beautiful accommodation, classical, cumfy, charming!!! Steve and Karen are fabulous hosts and we couldn’t recommend it any higher. Lots of small touches like slices of homemade fruit cake in your room on arrival, get a lift to and from a local restaurant for dinner, port in your room, beautiful antique decor throughout. Do yourselves a favour, great place to stay.

Thank you Barry, appreciate your comments and praise. We want our guests to feel pampered and spoilt. It's these little extras we find make a difference to our guests' stay. The fruitcake recipe is on our website!

A wonderful experience in a beautiful old country manor which has been renovated to perfection. Very accommodating hosts who saw that we had everything we needed. Comfy bed, great shower, spotless rooms, and the sumptuous breakfast cooked in house was amazing! My husband and I stayed for 3 nights, wish it was longer. Also a small kitchen upstairs for guest use if you don’t want to eat out every night. Accomodating for all options from couples retreat or corporate getaways, retirees relaxation, with room for motorcycles too. Very quiet and peaceful, and dark outside with no city lights!

Highly recommend visiting and staying at Queenstown. You must book your accommodation at the Penghana Bed and Breakfast. The host, Steve is simply amazing. He greets all of his guests personally and gives you a tour of your beautiful accommodation. He also cooks, takes care of any of your needs/requests and will book your dining experience and drive you to and from the accommodation. The home is simply amazing. So beautiful with history and the rooms are outstanding. You will not be disappointed this is a must and we will definitely be back. Thanks Steve so much for making our stay so personal and comfortable. We have travelled all around the world and this has been by far the best place in the world we have stayed. It’s above and beyond 5 star it’s pure luxury.

This stay of 3 days was indeed the highlight of our 2 week Tasmanian getaway. (we are Tasmanian residents.) Steve and Karen were the most amazing hosts and the silver service breakfast was the best. A gtreat knowledge of the local history. Their local knowledge of things to see and do was great. The Owen room had a great view of Queenstown and beautifully decorated. Highly reccomend staying here to anyone that has the opportunity you wont be disappointed.

Thanks so much for your kind words. We appreciate them. Where possible we under promise and over deliver. We know you appreciated your suite's separate dressing room, smart TV with free Netflix and the other inclusions not found at most other Tasmanian bed and breakfasts. We look forward to hosting you again.
