Warm welcome from Trudy and the team. Nothing was too much trouble and wifi connection issue was promptly resolved. Very comfortable and large apartment. Everything we needed was available including washing machine and dryer. Our stay was wonderful and the location in the hill gave us the most beautiful view of sunrise and sunset!! Large balcony where we are breakfast while looking over the bay. The pool was sparkling and inviting during our 10 days of warm sunny weather. Incredible view of the turquoise sea from the very large balcony. We made great use of the infinity pool. The kitchen had everything we needed. The apartment was very clean. We received a very warm welcome from Trudy on the reception and being able to check in early a real bonus. The tours we booked were able to pick up/drop off at this location.

We returned home last week after spending 7 nights in a 3 bedroom apartment at Azure Sea Whitsunday Resort.
The apartment was nice, but overall we were a bit disappointed after paying just under $3500 for an apartment that looked fabulous on the website but turned out to be not so fabulous!
Firstly, the resort is situated on the side of a hill, so the views over Airlie Beach and out over the Bay are spectacular! Parking is secure, however you do have to watch that other guests don't take your allocated parking spot, which happened to us on one occasion while we were out to dinner! This was sorted fairly quickly though, thankfully. Our apartment was huge, giving us plenty of space to spread out, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.
However, there were some things that let this place down.
The shower in the ensuite needs renovating as a matter of urgency as it is very old and tired. The shower screen has obviously never been cleaned properly as it is so stained with white water marks you can barely see through it. If things are consistently cleaned properly they do not become stained like that, regardless of the calcium content in the water. The floor tiles inside and outside the shower are also stained white (see photos attached). Not good enough for the price tag of this apartment. The sink and tap in that bathroom need to be replaced too, as the tap has a strange spout that sprays water instead of running it. This meant your clothes got wet if you were washing your hands or brushing your teeth!
The balconies are advertised as private, but are only private if you stay back near the sliding glass doors undercover. If you stand at the balcony railing, the apartment above can look down onto you, meaning that if you wanted to sit or stand at the railing in your pyjamas and admire the sunrise, other people can see you! It would've also been nice to have a couple of sun lounges on the balcony to lay on, but then again, it's not private, so maybe not!
The apartment above has a hot tub on the balcony which reverberated down into our apartment and was very noisy, as were the people staying there, as we could hear every footstep (sounded like a herd of elephants), every word, and every chair they scraped across the floor, all of that being even worse when they were out on their balcony!
Cigarette smoke (and on one occasion, marijuana smoke!) was annoying too, constantly floating in from other apartments.
We were also very disappointed with the sound of air conditioning being installed next door using a terribly loud hammer drill, from very early in the morning and continuing for hours during that particular day.
Lastly, one of the 3 bedrooms is clearly a study, not a bedroom, as it had only a sliding door, and no wardrobe (only a portable shelf with a hanging rail above it) which meant our daughter couldn't properly unpack her suitcase.
Overall, this place is in a great spot, giving fantastic views, but really isn't worth the high price tag due to the issues mentioned above. For the amount we paid, we expected better.

Hi mel660, thank you for your extensive review. Ok lets address the above issues. Firstly I don't know how you knew what apartment you were going into as we don't actually tell guests until they arrive. The reason being is we could move guests at the last minute to another similar apartment if we need to. The shower screens get professional cleaned once a year and I only sent an email last week to book this in for all the apartments. Unfortunately we do have a high calcium content up here in NQ and our cleaners could spend hours cleaning the shower screens and just can't do it as good as the professionals. We will check out the tap in the ensuite and replace if necessary. I believe the balconies are private if sitting at the outdoor setting, it's only when you walk over to the railing that you can see other balconies and above, so this is a bit of a furby. Yes, the apartment above does have a hot tub and I'm sorry about the noise. If you had of let us know about the noise, we could have very easily asked them to be mindful of the apartment underneath. Cigarette smoke and marijuana we have no control over. I wish this property was a smoke free zone, but it isn't. Guests are allowed to smoke on the balconies. Yes, it was unfortunately that the apartment next door was installing air conditioners, but again we had no control over this as it is an owner occupier. We did ask them to start working after 9.30am each day though. Will look into perhaps buying a cupboard for the 3rd bedroom. So sorry you had so much to say, but we do the best we can.

We spent seven days at the Azure Sea Resort and thoroughly enjoyed it! Single bedroom apartment (the second bedroom and bathroom closed off) with full kitchen facilities, and a dining/lounge area on the second floor, near reception. Great balcony with uninterrupted sweeping views over the bay and out to Hayman and part of Hook Island. Two lifts in operation to get your stuff from the car up to your level which was useful. Very short drive down to the main street and beach area, you could walk it if you felt so inclined. Woolworths supermarket very handy as well. Would certainly recommend!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Azure Sea. The views are spectacular and the accommodation very clean and spacious. Our only problem was the smokers on adjacent balconies. Continuous smoke came into our apartment and we had to leave our beautiful view and shut the doors. The rooms are non smoking, however smokers can use balconies. Unfortunately, being non smokers, we cannot recommend a stay at Azure Sea.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Azure Sea Resort. We stayed in one of the top units and the views are just absolutely unbelievable! The unit was huge - plenty of space for the family to spread our. Massive washing machine for all the laundry we had accumulated during the trip. Two large pools mean that parents can do some laps and kids can splash around without any conflicts. Short walk down to Woolies, eateries and the beach. The resort managers were super helpful during our stay! We hope we can come back soon as spend more time there!

My partner and I have been travelling Australia so we have stayed in a lot of different accommodation and Azure Sea is by far the best, most comfortable resort we have stayed in. We can't recommend this resort highly enough.
+ The beds are such a luxury, so comfortable + The room we stayed in had air conditioning and a washer & dryer (super important for us!) + The view from the balcony of Airlie Beach is so pretty. You are surrounded by the ocean, mountains, the local birds and fresh air + The kitchen had everything we needed to cook + Undercover secure parking + Woolworths is only a 10 minute walk (700m) away which was super convenient + There are heaps of cafes and restaurants in the main street of Airlie Beach + Trudy and Michael went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. We were blown away by their kindness and they ensured we have a lovely stay
The absolute highlight for our stay was the beautiful morning walks we did in the morning through the town, the lagoon and to the Coral Sea Marina. If you love walking the resort is in a perfect location to do a huge loop around. Its really beautiful. You can do a short walk (through the town or lagoon and back) or a longer one (to the Coral Sea Marina and back) depending on what you prefer.

This was meant to be a memorable family holiday for us but as we discovered the accommodation was not as we expected for a four-star resort. The unit (room 20) was dirty on arrival, full of dust and black hair was found on the tiles as well as dirty marks left in the kitchen - floor, benchtops and dishes were all dirty. The blankets that were provided on the beds were stained and smelt of cigarette smoke, we had to wash them ourselves. There was a strong smoke & waste smell in the unit especially in the main bedroom/ensuite. Management told us that there is a problem with the waste pipes and the only thing they can do is put a treatment down it which they did but didn't really help. After sleeping in the main bedroom for a number of nights, I had an asthma attack and asked management if we could be moved or get a partial refund to find other accommodation, we were told we couldn't move as the place was fully booked but no refund was offered still waiting for a response on the refund. Azure Sea seems to be let go, there needs to be more attention to detail with the cleaning of the rooms and the highchair was full of mold on the straps so it couldn't be used either. I do not recommend staying here with a young family.

Great location in Airlie - the resort is set in its own quiet area, away from the crowded developments yet an easy stroll to cafes, restaurants and Woolworths. We lazed by the infinity pool most afternoons and used the gym too. Spacious apartment with super-comfy bed and fantastic views to Hayman Island. The view from the balcony of room 20 is breathtaking. It was nice to have access to a full kitchen, washer/dryer and a comfortable bed. We don’t require much when we travel, but the size of the apartment was more than adequate. The dishwasher did not melt the cleaning tablet thoroughly, so that is something to watch for making sure that the dishes are cleaned properly so you don’t fall ill. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. The resort sits on a steep hill contributing to an amazing view, but coming back from town, be prepared for a workout or utilize the taxi services in town for a $9 ride back. It’s worth it if it isn’t leg day. The staff are nice, but hard to find upon check in if you don’t have an Australian phone number to call easily. Newer staff need a little more instruction on handing out the correct keys for the pool area. We got locked in briefly at the pool outside the building and had to find an alternate route back to the front entrance. Hiking uphill with luggage and a cane was not ideal on a warm day. On the upside, we were allowed to enjoy the pool area post check out awaiting our ride back to the airport. We would stay here again and had a very pleasant experience overall.
