Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great ambiance for the week of the music festival, I went with a group of friends and in 10 days we went to the Airlie Beach Hotel a total of 7 times, bands were great and so many happy customers.

Food was terrible....chicken Kiev was so dry....did not eat it. Wine list is horrible.....why so many NZ wines when we have quality Australian wines? So disappointing.... We love the pub entertainment concept but the food just does not cut it.....sorry

An uninspiring stay at this hotel. Staff were bored and couldn’t be bothered doing much. The Airlie beach hotel bus was annoyed wohnen we crossed the driveway footpath in front of him, and he tooted us. Last time I crossed a driveway footpath pedestrians have the right of way. Overall, we weren’t impressed.

3 night stay! Cannot fault the accommodation! Spacious room, nice view from ocean view room, cleanliness and in room facilities! I was surprised at how quiet the room one from street noise! However the lights from the hallway coming under the door wasn’t great at night. The Pub is one of the best setups I’ve ever seen! Great vibes! Losses one star for the inconsistency from the kitchen, are here twice one was awesome, second time not so much! Cocktails are expensive but worth it for the taste

We absolutely loved our stay at Airlie Beach Hotel. Everything was better than we expected - the location was perfect - close to everything & staff were amazing - always very friendly & helpful. Special shout out to Brayden in the bar who really looked after us - thank you!! The bar & bistro was such a great place to eat or just hang out with a drink & the free entertainment was awesome. We were so impressed how everything was cleaned & maintained every single day - not a thing out of place. Would highly recommend staying here - it definitely ticks all the boxes.

The Pub restaurant at the Airlie Beach Hotel is very busy and well located. The food is pub grub style where you order at the bar and take a number to your table. Notwithstanding the great location across the road from the beach and close to the ferry port, the food is okay but nothing special.

The room we stayed in appeared to be recently remodeled. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. Beach towels were included, which was a plus. The location was great - next to Airlie Port and the town so walking distance to everything. We only stayed for a night so didn’t use the pool or eat at the restaurant so can’t comment about that. The only negative was the shower was small and had only one large shower head coming from the ceiling.

Stayed in courtyard room which was spacious and comfortable. Room service and reception very good. Biggest issue was the hotel catered for smokers everywhere. Shared balconies had ashtrays available for smokers to smoke outside your door. Smoking zone at pub rear beer garden located right beside hotel pool, used by adults and children. Cost of drinks in pub 25% more than any other location.

The hotel itself was lovely and they had a beautiful pool but that is where it ended. We had pre paid but received a phone call saying we hadn’t paid so I had to forward them our receipt. I was spoken to rudely over the phone so I complained to management. After that everything went south. We didn’t get our room serviced even though the service sign was on our door between 10 & 2 as advised. It’s a pricey hotel with no room service, noisy room hopping alcohol infused guests and the only eatery was a place called “the pub”; which was overpriced, we were seated squashed into a corner and it was underwhelming for the prices. This place should work on their customer service which was poorly lacking.

Hotel is in an excellent location surrounded by great restaurants and bars and is walking distance to Port of Airlie. Had free parking which was good. I booked a courtyard room and i should have read the fine-print. It was located in the old part of the hotel and felt isolated from the main hotel. It gets pretty loud at night from all the people partying and drinking so its not a good place to relax. I had to sleep with ear plugs in. The bathrooms did bot have a door for privacy (just the toilet) there is a big gap in the blinds where anyone walking past can look in. There was no brekkie or room service available nor did they have any mini bar. Phone in room also did not work, mentioned this to the receptionist but nothing was done about it.
