Top place to stay, only stayed one night as i was travelling through. I had a room on the lower level above the shops and restaurant which was noisy until @ 9pm then it was very quiet. Only a short walk into the main part Airlie Beach along designated walk ways , car parking was secure underground and lifts were on hand. Overall this would be my pick to stay for a week. during holidays.

A surprise find. We booked a two bedroom as all the one bedrooms were fully booked but.....definitely worth it for the extra space, even though the rooms could use a good clean to get the rust and dust out. This place is on the marina and is super quiet, well air conditioned which is needed in the tropical regions. The pool is a decent size and well maintained. There is a great little Italian restaurant and the Coffee Club underneath. Also a super short walk to the town ‘centre’. We did have issues on our last night with extremely noisy loud music from directly above us at midnight to 2am however, security thankfully showed up and told the people to shut it. Would stay here again. Reminder, wifi was not in working order for the whole stay, which apparently is a normal occurrence across all of Airlie Beach.

For a family of 5 the apartments were perfect for our 7 day stay - within walking distance of the main street, the markets were on our doorstep, with cafes and restaurant within the complex. Tours collected us from reception, reception staff were helpful and polite. The apartment was clean and spacious with beautiful views but without WiFi during our stay was not ideal for the kids as Netflix or their games could not be accessed on the rainy day.
Definitely recommend this property for a stay at Airlie Beach.

Luxury escape, two bedroom apartment, three night stay for just under $800, we found very expensive, it appears you are paying for location here, as this was a wednesday-friday stay. Tiny cramped loungeroom, large jute rugs on the floor in the loungeroom under the furniture and under the bed which my wife had a severe allergy to. They smelt as if they were manufactured with some type of very strong chemical/ toxins.
A Reasonably clean apartment, good location over marina, close to cruise departures especially GSL Marine whom we had a great trip to whitehaven beach with for the day, pickup point downstairs. Lovely cafes downstairs in precinct. Regarding the Boathouse rooms and resort in general, we had a problem with the facilities and the receptionist regarding use of those facilities. The apartment had a miele washer/dryer combination. This is one of the reasons why we chose the resort as travelling by car for one month and we required clean and dryed clothing for the next leg of our journey. The machine was in a foreign language, the cupboard in the kitchen had guidebooks (at least a dozen) for every appliance possible there was not one for the miele/washer dryer. It appeared after hours of frustration and several attempts to use the dryer function on the machine it was not a dryer at all but an "airer". I contacted the receptionist twice about this on my mobile phone as the unit phone in the bedroom did not work. She could not understand or speak english propery and this is unacceptable. Several times on the first call she asked me to explain about the dryer and said she would send a handyman up to look at it why it was not drying. We waited an hour and a half and no-one came. I rang back and she rudely said it was not a dryer at all but an airer and too bad, we would have to hang our clothing and towels out on the balcony in the wind to dry. We could not do this as there was one flimsy clothes rack that about four tshirts could be put on, nothing more, which collapsed from any weight. There was a sign on the balcony not to hang clothing out. So, hastily, we went to the next accommodation destination which was an island, and had to leave bags of wet clothes in our vehicle for several days as we had no time to find a laundromat in airlie beach to dry them. Also, because of covid we did not want to take the risk of a public laundromat. We are not happy also about being given one towel only each for the entire three days. We had to go down to reception and ask for more, as the two towels were washed on the second day to reuse and because no dryer, we could not get them dry. The young girl at reception was very rude and because of this we would not stay here or recommend the boathouse again. Mantra needs to employ staff who have an understanding and full use of the english language in Australia. The Boathouse had a large and very nice pool a which was very hygenic and clean. Opened until later hours in the evening which was good as hot and humid weather. Very short walk across the paddock to the main block with restaurants and could view the saturday morning airlie beach markets from our balcony. A five minute or less walk.

Dear GKS67, Thank you for your review. Our 2 bedroom apartment is about 100m2, I dont think it would be consider tiny and cramped, but please accept my sincere apologies. In regards to the washing/dryer issue, I have personally check the unit appears to be working, however, with combination unit as such, idea dryer capacity is 1/2 of washer, hence the clothes is not fully dry when loaded 100%, again please accept my sincere apologies. We hires diversity background of team member who speak good English, however, the problem could be her accent. I hope you give us another chance to make it right for you, when you return to Airlie Beach, please let me know, I will make sure your experience is a better one. Thank you. Kind regards, Emil

Mantra Boat House
Stayed for a week early October.
The good thing about this place, it's an attractive building with a good design, each apartment is front facing on to the marina, you can get a nice breeze through the apartment.
Each apartment has its own parking space in the underground car park. The pool is okay, a bit small but does the job and there are shops and cafes below you ( coffee club etc)
To the left out the building you can walk down to Airlie beach shops and bars and this is a few hundred metres, to the right in less than a five minute walk is the marina whereby you can get your connections to the islands etc.

The interior of the apartment we had was very tired. Old furniture, a dirty rug, stained sofa, the floor was sticky, it felt like it hadn't had a good clean in a long while. There is no internet in room, the TV had all the standard channels, there is no DVD.
The kitchen was adequate, however the crockery needed cleaning and we even found one with old egg on it, so all went back through the dishwasher. You are provided with tea and instant coffee, not good quality.

The main bedroom had two single beds pushed together for a king. It was okay comfort wise.
The en suite bathroom didn't have walk in showers you stepped in to the bath, the shower head was very worn and shower screen was very water stained and dirty.

There is a second shower room off the laundry room.
Look this place is not cheap probably around $300 per night , it does need a thorough deep clean, (especially as we are currently going through a pandemic) and really a whole refit.
What you are paying for is location.I did expect it to be more luxurious for that price however it wasn't to be.
We loved our stay in Airlie though, such a great place.

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights for our honeymoon and the cleanliness and state of the rooms were terrible. The location was central and in walking distance from the main strip but we would never stay here in future. The walls were gritty and covered in dirt - some looked like food or blood splatter all different colours (this was said to be rust but very hard for rust to develop on painted walls - it was run down, disrepaired), dirty bedding both sheets and valance, insect/roaches were found in towels, showers were calcified, leak stain on roof. The rokms are in desperate need of a deep clean. We asked to change rooms and the receptionist was very helpful and did her best to get us into a new cleaner room but unfortunately as these rooms are privately owned, the state of them was no different one to the next. A negative staying at a resort where people own them and take no care for them. We felt stressed and dirty for the duration of our trip and being on our honeymoon we did not enjoy it at all. I broke out in hives due to the stress of staying somewhere so dirty. The photos are just two walls but all walls were the same and dust and stains all over the walls in the bathroom, some looking like unpleasant stains of something you dont want to be looking at while sitting on the toilet several centremetres from it. The receptionist was lovely and helped where she could but the rooms themselves were horrible. Would not recommend staying here if you want to stay somewhere nice, we extended trip and stayed at Club Wyndham which has been much MUCH cleaner and nice, feeling a lot more relaxed that our room is clean and doesn't feel like we are sleeping in a garbage container.

We had a 1 night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. This is the absolutely closest accommodation to the cruise terminal and easy access to simply walk your luggage over to it. The views of the harbour are spectacular and the balconies are positioned perfectly. Appartments are very comfortable and well-appointed. It is a little bit of a walk over to the main part of Airlie Beach (5-minutes), to the restaurants and bars, and there are no convenience shops in the building to get any supplies, so you have no option but to walk into Airlie Beach and go to Woolworths to get any basics such as ice, bread, milk etc. - a long way to carry a bag of ice on a hot day in NQ without any shaded pathways. So if you don’t have a vehicle with you, it can be a little isolated and inconvenient for getting basic supplies. Would we would stay here again, yes absolutely, but only of we had a car, or if we needed the close access to the ferry terminal.

We stayed here for 4 nights in the last week. The main bathroom shower water goes everywhere and you are requires to mop this up after every shower. Vehicles over the height of 2.2mtrs cant for underneath and you must lay $16 per 24 hours to park there. They aren’t interested in helping cover these costs and don’t provide alternative options.
There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms and the tv’s only run free to air tv. There is no option at all to use your own Netflix login due to no Wi-Fi.
The TV in our bedroom couldn’t even run the free to air tv properly.
Our king size bed was really hard and we felt the springs underneath.
We booked a room 2 adults and 2 children and our children had to share a bed rather than 2 singles.
The patio was dirty and needed a good clean.
The appliances are good and the washing machine did give a good wash. They provided a generous amount of washing powder, dishwasher tablets and dishwashing liquid, tea, coffee and sugar. The room was of a good size and the view of the Harbour was great. The pool was a great size but only 1 light at night. So if you bbq there you eat in the dark. The keycard gives you access to both sides of the building which is great as we had multiple staying with us. The accommodation is handy and is of a central location to markets and the shops.

We liked the apartment and would stay again. 101 (3 b-r) is at the end of the building and has windows on 3 sides. It is spacious and fairly well provided with equipment (though no food items like salt, pepper, cooking oil). Good air con. Nice marina views and located close to island ferry, restaurant right underneath (La Marina) was excellent, Coffee Club near. No noise from restaurant/road/neighbours. Good resort pool. Some niggles: a good cleaning needed especially in bathrooms. 2nd bathroom toilet seat loose,(I fixed it), exhaust fan does not work. Biggest issues: (1) balcony in master bedroom locks with key – not provided and Reception did not have one – and so the door was permanently unlocked (1st floor balcony an obvious security risk). (2) Wifi was advertised as free but in fact was limited to 1 hour per device per day but that really didn’t matter because we couldn’t connect at all so we used our phones as hot spots. But overall we enjoyed stay and would stay again. Value for money: yes, despite niggles.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to share. So happy you enjoyed your Whitsunday Holiday. Hopefully we will get to see you again when you return. The exhaust fans in the bathroom are a suction from the roof top not a spinning fan as you would normally hear in a bathroom. They all work but make no noise and are not turned on or off they just automatically pull the air up through and are all connected from the ground up. The balcony master keys have been removed as people kept locking themselves outside on the balconies which caused a much bigger issue than locking them up. We can get the key from reception if needed. We do offer FREE Wifi in the common areas but the WIFI that works in the room is only one free hour per device per day. Kind regards,

Checked into Mantra apartments on Sunday afternoon the receptionist didn't even bother to greet us but could only grunt out 'ID and credit card.' No information about the amenities around the resort i.e. pool, tennis court or restaurants.
When booking the apartment, I had to specify the age of the children (10 & 12) Checked into room to find a king and double bed made up. Called unfriendly receptionist to ask if they could change the king bed to single beds and was advised this should have been requested when booking and due to no staff on this would be done tomorrow.
NEVER have I had to request this when booking with any Mantra accommodation or with any other accommodation for that matter.
Fridge/Freezer didn't work. Again, due to no staff on had to go collect a key for apartment 2 levels down (not situated near a lift) to store our food in a fridge that did work.
The next morning was greeted by another 'friendly' receptionist to see if beds could be changed and if fridge could be looked at and was again advised that I should have requested single beds when booking as the resort can't assume that children want to sleep in separate beds.
By midday had to call back the receptionist to see if the fridge had been fixed only to be told still looking into it.
Upgraded to a different room due to fridge not being fixed.
Both remotes for the TV's didn't work. By day two the main TV wouldn't even turn on.
Had main TV replaced with remote that works but remote for bedroom wasn't fixed.
I understand that things go wrong in hotels but we found the receptionist staff to be rude and not accountable for their actions. When checking into a hotel first impression do count!

You can request a twin bed option in a 3 bedroom but we can't guarantee them as they are limited in availability. Please also note that the twins would be in the Master Bedroom with the ensuite as the other two bedrooms are queen beds and do not have a twin option.
