Room was outdated, office hours poor and parking was poor. It was fine to stay - the beds were mostly clean and the green tree frog was nice to see, but hopefully nextime not in the shower :) Lots of mozzies, but basic and comfortable rooms - ask to be next to a room that doesnt smoke, not very nice...

I stayed at the Kipara before and after my boat trip to the Whitsundays, and I had an absolutely lovely stay. The hosts did everything they possibly could to ensure I was having a great time (dropoff at the market, luggage storage, letting me stay around and use all the amenities all day long waiting for my night bus to...

We arrived one week after the cyclone had hit the Whitsundays to discover several of the hotels in town were closed. Upon arrival of the hotel Shirley and Bruce were inundated with backpackers desperate for a bed for the night (fortunately we had booked in advance). Shirley was most helpful and accommodating in helping the young boys and girls in...

Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased we could still accommodate you and of course all the stranded backpackers and travellers arriving in Airlie with nowhere to stay as their hostels, caravan parks and hotels had been closed. As we could provide a roof and a bed with clean linen, despite no power we found everyone like...

We stayed in a basic room with an ensuite. The room was clean and fairly comfortable. However, there were lots of ants which covered the bathroom. The shower door also didn't seal so our bathroom floor was slightly flooded most of the time. Wifi was not fast which made researching for our travels a bit tricky. Location was okay. Next...

Managers Bruce & Shirley looked after my self and the rest of the guests at this property tremendously during cyclone Debbie & the aftermath. Offering water, lifts for guests when the public transport wasn't running and even food to guests who were stuck. The resort was badly damaged by the cyclone & despite of this we as guests were made...

Myself and my friend stayed at Kipara soon after cyclone Debbie when unfortunately there was a lot of damage and there was no power. Despite this we had a great stay, the rooms were clean and they were doing a lot to try and tidy up after the cyclone. The staff especially Shirley were amazing, she was run off her...

We had seen this property for many years but never stayed there. We got caught up in the rains at Christmas time this year where flights were cancelled and we couldn't get home. Being Christmas everything was fully booked so I rang Kipara and asked if they had anything at all they could offer us. The very friendly manager said...

The rooms were tidy and clean and great value for a private room in the area. The only negative is that it's about a 30 minutes walk to the main Airlie Beach area. You can take a bus but they are not too frequent. If you don't mind this then it's a great place to stay. The staff were extremely...

We stayed in a cabin for two nights here and had a great time. The receptionist was super welcoming and friendly, check in was smooth. The cabin was plenty big enough for the two of us and was clean with good air conditioning which was very welcome in the heat! The park had multiple BBQ facilities which was great, the...
