Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed in 104-2, small ground floor poolside room with no view even of the pool. The toilet was faulty and gurgled noisily 24/7, even with the water turned off. No plumber was available to fix during our weekend stay. The ‘bed’ was actually two singles pushed together with a mattress topper over, so the two beds continually moved apart and you could roll into the dip in the centre. The aformentioned toilet is near the entrance to the room, it has a trip hazard lip as you enter, but the (very nice) bathroom is at the opposite end. The veneer on the bedsides was peeling. Overall, a rather shabby place, in need of refurnishing, and the drains fixing.

We booked after losing original booking elsewhere due to covid🥴😷 lockdowns in Melbourne 2019. Palm Cove gets booked out quickly. Stayed one night broke up our travel time this was great for us perfect posy great Irish restaurant next door. Had a 2 bed small room but great bathroom huge spa ith a balcony overlooking the pool. Found the stairs a bit of a hard climb with cases. Luckily the manager was there offered to help thankyou so much lovely man. Very quiet place small lip between bedroom to bathroom a bit of a trip hazard but have seen this alot elsewhere. Pool was nice small but enjoyed the atmosphere. The only thing we found if l had to pick was re do the pool floor very rough a bit patchy not a great look, kept scraping on toes ouch!🙄 Nice fountain, spa was up stair well. Under cover secure parking great. We liked thus place was the right price for a comfy stay.

Don’t stay there they email you just over one week until you arrive and cancel your accomodation. They don’t even have the decency to phone or help you. All of Palm Cove booked out no where to go.., I would advise anyone not to trust booking there I booked nearly one year before then they canceled via email with less than 2 weeks to go.

3 days out from staying here I received a phone call saying the rooms I booked were no longer available because they had been sold. Was supposed to be staying from 4th-6th March. Asked if they had anything else available for the 8 adults and 3 infants in our group but was told nothing else was available. I thought they were supposed to honour previous bookings. What I don't understand is why I wasn't given a courtesy call weeks ago warning me about the sale and that the rooms may not be available instead of leaving it until 3 days out. Units etc just don't sell and be finalised overnight. To make matters worse I phoned them a few weeks ago to confirm our booking to be told yes it was fine. Finding other accommodation for that many people isn't always easy.

This place says it is a 4 star hotel/apartment but is more of a 2.5 star spot, it is old, outdated, dirty and a but dangerous. The first room we stayed in had a death trap for a shower (pic attached), you had to step up and out about a foot and down about a foot and a half to get out of the shower, I am younger and in shape and almost took a bad fall trying to get out, I could not see a kid or someone a bit older doing very well with it. We switched rooms ( we had 2 but only needed 1 due to people not making their flight) the other room was a bit better but still out dated and a bit worn and dirty. The AC in the bedroom did not work very well, there is black mold in the the bathroom, ants and cockroaches in the bed and couch and there is a lip going into the bathroom that feels great when you break your toe on it in the middle of the night. It is a tropical place so some of that (ants, roaches, mold) is going to happens but the last place we stayed at was no where near as bad and around the same price.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Great location with ocean views and close to everything. Slight hiccup when we first arrived as room wasn't cleaned so stayed in another room overnight until the room was cleaned. Owners compensated us so very happy.

Booked a weekend in Palm Cove for a wedding and based on the pictures and affordability we decided to stay a few extra nights. Our apartment with pool view isn't just a pool view, the porch has a gate straight into the pool yard. Despite being so close to a common space privacy does not feel like an issue. Gardens are established and well kept. The apartment is one bedroom and is large. Even in late September there is no need for running the aircon as the tiled apartment is breezy and cool. Out the front door are dining and drinking options and the walk along the beach is lovely. Staff on arrival were friendly and we have really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended.

So disappointing where do I start, cracked wine glasses, no astray on balcony, ceiling fan not working, no daily clean, very small room for the price, very expensive... young lady at reception was lovely along with her puppy and pussy cat... location was good, clean and tidy, bathroom was lovely.
