We went to Palm cove for a week and stayed at the Mantra. Perfect location and only a stone's throw from the beach. Our room was basic but clean and very comfy bed and good sheets with a good sized balcony, It wasn't overlooking the beach as we had hoped but still pleasant to look at the palm trees to the side of the resort. There is no housekeeping but you can bring your towels to reception and they will give you clean towels and will give you more coffee, milk when you run out. There are plenty of bins around for you to dispose of your own rubbish and recycling etc. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. They have a strict no glass policy so buy cans/tins if you want a drink/beer around the pool. The only disappointment was the Wifi. My partner wanted to purchase wifi for the day but it didn't work. We went to the reception but they couldn't help at all apart from saying some other guests had had issues. We were given a number to call where albeit the person we spoke to was incredibly polite they seemed a little clueless so it took us 20mins to find out if we had been charged. It just seemed a lot of unnecessary hassle. We managed for the week without but if we needed wifi for Work it would have been a problem. We self drove and parked under the resort, lots of safe parking spaces. We would definately stay again.

Mantra Amphora is located just across the street from the beach, and for that alone one has to give it 5 stars, but then you have the mid range furniture inside and the tired colors on the walls. But it doesn't really matter much when holidaying in FNQ, especially if you're out and about all day exploring different locations. Fully furnished apartments include small kitchenette, washing machine and dryer, where they come handy in small place like Palm Cove. Secure parking is available on site, and really if you're not fussy people, Mantra Amphora is good enough for great holiday in stunning location. We miss it already.

The Mantra Amphora is unfortunately a solid 3 star experience dependent on your room type and location. As an Accor member, who booked a 1 bedroom suite type room with kitchen and substantial outdoor balcony months in advance, we did expect to get just that and that our request to be close to other family members on this holiday would at least be considered….but no, we actually couldn’t be any further from them! We were also told we’d be first floor or above and nope, that didn’t happen either. We have a ground floor room that has an access gate to the pool directly in front of our outdoor setting so every man and his dog (or toddler in this case) walks through our “courtyard” and looks inside. So, no privacy! Add to that no oven…yes, there is a microwave that offers convection cooking - but that isn’t practical for a week long family holiday. Apparently there are rooms with ovens and functional kitchens but yes, you guessed it…not this room…it’s basically a kitchenette. And last but not least if you are in building 3 you get to listen to the garbage trucks at 6am …repeatedly….yep sorry Accor but this has to be the singularly most disappointing room we’ve had on holiday in a very long time. Unfortunately as we have family staying here, we’ve seen there are far nicer and better designed rooms so we recommend that make sure you check before you go to your room on the configuration and location. I have no idea what benefit being an Accor member offers at this property….I’m pretty sure it’s worked against us 😂

Location is lovely and grounds very well kept, but room wasn’t worth the expense. Broken toilet, broken bathroom fan, dusty blinds. And I understand there’s no room service, but rooms should be stocked for the duration of the booked stay. Repeatedly returning to reception to ask for a second roll of toilet paper, a fresh towel, or a new bin bag takes the shine off. Certainly not 4 stars - I’d just use a motel next time.

Mantra Amphora has operated with un-serviced rates for quite some time where the units are fully stocked at arrival and additional servicing can be arranged at extra cost. It was decided then that any additional supplies for the room are provided free of charge via reception if needed. A system that is welcomed by the majority of our guests, but I understand your disappointment if you have not been made aware at the time of booking so that the choice would have been yours. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mantra Amphora, I had a two bedrooms in one it had a full laundry/kitchen with oven fridge freezer and dishwasher/ lounge/ Dining and separate bedroom everything that is needed was in there. Beautiful view of the pool. In the other room we had it attached it was a standard studio with all amenities needed both were perfect. I will stay again.

The apartment complex was nice. The layout of the one bedroom was good. It allows someone to sleep late while the other guest rises earlier. Nice to have laundry facilities in the unit. Stairs are a problem and there is no bellman. The receptionist helped my husband carry 4 heavy bags to our room. Tiles on the walkways are slippery all the time. Kitchen needs to be re-outfitted with better pots and pans. And, they should include a toaster oven with a broiler in the kitchen since there is no oven. The tv was great! Lots of channels and it was extra large. There is a second tv in the bedroom. All in all, great stay. Please put a lock on the patio door that can be accessed from the outside. That way the guests can to the esplanade the shortest way possible.

The gardens and extensive pool area is exemplary and is a sheltered haven from the frequent strong winds experienced on the beach. Our requested ground floor unit overlooked the pool area and the patio faced north so we had lots of sunshine. Note there are no lifts in the complex. Our apartment was tired and could do with fresh paint and furnishings. We found our kitchen poorly equipped for a longer stay and we were surprised there was no barbecue facility onsite in the large grounds. Wifi is not free and our old TV was not capable of streaming Netflix etc Overall we enjoyed our stay but felt for the cost the apartment facilities should have been better.

No breakfast; the restaurant on the premises is outstanding, if expensive, and open only from 1200. Some rooms can be noisy with kids in the pool and (worse!) the restaurant aircon blaring at the eastern end of the court. Rooms are not serviced daily but fresh pool towels are available from reception. However the location - absolute waterfront with a very quiet road - kind of makes up for all this. Beach surf sound is an enjoyable constant. Note that ocean swimming only possible in the netted off area which is half a km from the resort. The mature melaleuca trees and palms are a real feature of the site.

Hi, we recently stayed at a duel key but only used the same front door. Liked having our own seperate full bathroom. We were on the 3rd floor but a great appt through airbnb.
Not many people swim at the beach even when it is NOT stinger season as most resorts have lovely pools. Mantra Amphora has a relaxing pool and you can sit/sunbake on the beach and then cool off around the Pool - not a good idea to take the risk with Stinger season at the beach.
There are many 2 bedroom ground floor rooms with Pool views/access - simply make the Resort Reception aware of your needs before arriving if possible, so they can accomodate you -especially if you have mobility issues.
