Our stay was magnificent. We only wish we had longer. Our room was so comfortable, spacious and quiet. All staff were so kind and really went over and aboard to make sure our stay was superb. A short stroll to the beach and few minutes more to the cafes. Plenty of sunbeds and a great size pool. Some shade cover over part of the pool during the day would be a great bonus. The breakfast was sensational with so much to choose from and the Asian fusion dinner was scrumptious. So much so we went back again. Thank you, we very much look forward to returning soon.

I get confused when review’s say a 5 star resort is dated if course they can b dated over 15 years old I base my reviews on the moment I book till I check out the sea temple covers all bases was checked in by natilie at reception very professional we booked a studio and was given a one bedroom without asking which was well appointed very clean and comfortable the pool areas are suburb and modern pool bar with a good happy hour the buffet breakfast could do with a little upgrade but overall five star we have already booked for next year which natillie sorted out quickly

Dear gjbrennan58, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your recent return stay at Sea Temple. We greatly appreciate your feedback and are thrilled to hear about your positive experience with us. It's wonderful to read your perspective on how you evaluate a 5-star resort, focusing on the entire guest journey from booking to check-out. We share your sentiment that the age of a resort does not necessarily equate to it being dated, and we're delighted that you found Sea Temple to be a well-rounded and appealing destination. We're especially grateful for your kind words about Natalie, who provided you with a professional and welcoming check-in experience. We'll make sure to pass along your compliments to her, and we're pleased that she was able to accommodate you with an upgrade to a one-bedroom apartment. Thank you for choosing to stay with us again next year, and we're delighted that Natalie was able to assist with your future booking promptly. We look forward to welcoming you back and ensuring that your next stay is just as enjoyable as this one.

The booking process through Luxury Escapes was smooth and our 2 bedroom unit did not disappoint. It was spotlessly clean and contained everything we could possibly need. The bonus was our swim out area! The pool was lovely and we really couldn’t fault the staff or service from the Pullman. Special mention to the Spa. Would happily recommend and look forward to a return visit.

We stayed over the October long weekend which was just fantastic. Staff welcomed us warmly on arrival and said hello every time with a smile. Room was a penthouse which was fantastic with lounges, bbq and spa which made the stay even better. The pool was busy being school holidays but we all had a great time. Food was good and tasty. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Stayed on what should have been six nights on our Babymoon as we returned from a broader trip to Asia. Accor Gold Member. Not true king beds, simply two singles zipped together. The initial room we were allocated had faulty zippers and led to the beds splitting apart. This made worse by the fact that the request for a pregnancy pillow was ignored (and later claimed that it didn’t send through to Pullman despite every other Accor property I visited both before and after all picking it up). Reallocated to another room that had a broken toilet seat, faulty TV that wouldn’t turn off, unclean bedsheets (that the Room Division Director tried to claim didn’t exist until he realised I had photos), dust hanging from the ceiling and mould in the bathroom. In the end, after three nights, three room changes (including one at 11pm), several unreturned requests for contact by a completely absent GM I requested a refund and left early. Staff were argumentative and at one point said “I don’t think I should be held accountable for a Accor problem” despite Pullman very much being part of the Accor Group. Not worth my hard earned money or energy to deal with stoic, unapologetic and rude staff members who made it out as if I was creating the problems on my own holiday. If we didn’t have the service and room issues we had I still probably wouldn’t stay there. Common spaces were dated including the pool. Only ever 1 staff member anywhere (poolbar, reception, spa) and when running at the high occupancy that they are it was always slow. Evidently, after speaking with other guests who felt they were ripped off at their price-points, one quipped that this property is owned by a body corporate that Accor manage on their behalf which means they have no control to truly maintain the grounds properly. Will not return and don’t think you, reader, should either. You’re far better off at Cairns in terms of quality of rooms, location and value-for-money.

Lovely resort tucked away in peaceful tropical garden setting . Pools were fabulous and a short walk to the beach while being tucked away from the onshore breeze . Temple of tastes restaurant was great if a little pricey and Lagoon Bar had a good selection of lunchtime options . Only negative was our studio room which was a bit run down and dirty with green mould in shower , cracked tiles , leaking door etc and the room needed a good clean and makeover to justify the $500 per night price tag . Not what you expect for a 5 star hotel

We stayed here in July school holidays for 7 days. 2 adults and 4 kids ranging from 17 to 2. Stayed in 3 bedroom pool suite. The resort is very nice. Our apartment was lovely. 2 story, modern, lovely master bedroom with ensuite. The kids rooms were nice. Well appointed dining/kitchen. Plunge pool was great for kids and heated (it was a cool time of year). Excellent outdoor area with bbq and outside dining. Villa was right beside main pool and close to bar and restaurant. Only a minutes walk to the beach. Resort is a short 5 minute stroll to the main esplanade. Bar is nice place to have a drink and relax. House keeping very attentive. Lots of beach towels etc. Would we stay there again? Probably. The negatives are minor. The place is a little tired and just needs a little TLC. Masonry missing in the plunge pool, kitchen appliances and bit tired but clean. Servicing is a little over the top. BBQ cleaner, pool cleaner, housekeeping just seems like there is always someone there. Pool and bbq guy could probably come every second day? Buffet breakfast was ok but really the same as any other & wouldn’t 5 star. Biggest draw back was the lack of internet. Now someone will say “cmon mate you’re at a tropical resort what do you need the internet for?” the truth is you do. Booking things like tours to the reef etc is all online. The TV is internet and with 4 kids we’re not out on the town at night and might want to relax with a glass of wine and a movie after the kids go to bed. It’s no point having Netflix and Foxtel if you can’t use it. When we called reception they said it was due to the weather? Well it was 26, not a cloud in the sky and light sea breeze all week. Our internet works in Southern Tassie with the wind blowing off the ocean at 100km/h and raining sideways. Minor things just can’t give it 5 stars for $1200 a night.

THE GOOD STUFF - the pools area and landscaping is lovely and well maintained - Lagoon Bar is very nice - all the staff I dealt with were pleasant and professional - they fully refunded my last night when I left a day early due to the noise, without me even having to ask for a refund. A very pleasant surprise. THE NOT-SO-GOOD STUFF - hotel wifi was so poor (ok for email, but video dropped out and buffered endlessly) that I used my phone's hotspot instead - no fan in the bathroom meant the room was hot and humid after a shower - STUDIO ROOM, which is what I had, is basic and tiny (most assuredly not "spacious" as the hotel website says). The website also says: "simple yet luxurious" -- simple, yes, but I saw no luxury! Not even a bathrobe in the closet. The bathroom is large, but the living area of the room has maybe 1m of clearance around the bed. (see photo) There is no comfortable chair to sit on, so the choice is the bed or a 'desk chair' that looks like a cast-off from a dining area. The balcony chairs are equally uncomfortable but in a totally different way -- no back support, and you slump, you don't sit. (see photo of chairs) Two people would constantly be in each others' way in that room. - I could rarely sit (or stand!) on the balcony, or even open the door for air, due to... - THE NOISE from the open-air restaurant and bar. I had the immense misfortune to be given room 223, directly above both. (I'm sure other nearby rooms had the noise just as bad.) In addition to the noise, the smell of the food drove me off the balcony -- the smell of food is appealing only if you are about to eat it; otherwise, it is not welcome and not pleasant, particularly if the food is meat and you are a vegetarian. - THE WEDDING RECEPTION on Sunday evening was even noisier than the general restaurant, with the addition of amplified speeches and party music going thump-thump. That was the last straw, and I jumped online to book somewhere else. - LIVE MUSIC on Sunday afternoon in the lagoon bar. Also open air. No escape. Bottom Line: Would I stay here again? NO.
