We have stayed at the Palm Cove Sea Temple probably 10 times in the last three months on each visit has been a real holiday experience, which may sound strange when I tell you that we actually locals and live within six kilometers of this property. I have pursued platinum status basically because of 5 properties in the Cairns area, which I considered to be top quality and value for money, which the Palm cove Sea temple features at the top of the list
The sea temple Palm Cove has some wonderful apartments which overlook the pool area , my favourite Being, so far is the double bedroom apartment in the corner of each building that are very spacious and have great amenities.these are displayed in most of my my photographs.
The management of Megan, the general manager, and Steve who.i believes is the assitant manager seem to be on top of their game with great support from Miranda in housekeeping and kirstin the head of hospitality, who is a lovely enthusiastic person..the front desk has some..lovely welcoming people such as Natalie and katsumi but all the staff seem to.give their best. who I've got to know well over the last 10 visits . The room I have photographed is one of the best that i have ever been allocated,at the sea temple , although some guests dont like the apartment because the roof of the temple of taste's is in the view. But to be honest and I would stay once a .week if this was a normal upgrade
I will end by saying it's a wonderful location to the south of Palm Cove with full beach access and still very close to the action of Palm Cove.
This Sea Temple has exceptional service from enthusiastic employees, and the Temple of Taste Restaurant is highly rated by us locals.
Give it a try. You should not be disappointed

Dear KevAustralia, Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and detailed review of your experiences at Palm Cove Sea Temple! It's truly heartwarming to hear that you've found your stays with us to be like a real holiday experience, even though you're locals. A beautiful property right on the beach at Palm Cove but far enough away from the main thoroughfare to feel very quiet and exclusive. We really enjoyed what was a huge, well fitted out, luxury apartment - excellently equipped kitchen, lounge, balcony, master bedroom and a very spacious bathroom. it wasn’t cheap for one night in the high season but we felt worth the splurge. The Sea Temple Restaurant was very good and the massive pool area that is a feature of this resort gorgeously well lit at night. We had spa treatments and again very good. There were a few minor things - it’s a compact resort and because the rooms all face in towards the pool it can be a bit noisey at night, depending on the location of your room and the neighbours. The air conditioner needed a clean and the pool area also would have benefited from an early morning gurney. We really enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for providing this detailed feedback and we hope to warmly welcome you back again in the near future. Sincerely, Jessica James General Manager

My wife and I booked 3 nights ; first night just for us, so we got rm 411, normal dbl - the next 2 nights we were joined by our sons, so we moved into 410, a 2-bdrm 2-bathrm apartment with kitchen, lounge and enormous rooftop entertainment area, spa & BBQ.
The apartment feels like a house, with all the space and amenities that you could want. Great space, walk to beach, choice of sensational pools, . . . top value for money. We had breakfast near the pool ; it is a la carte, well presented, healthy choices and delicious.
It looked like the occupancy was very low and (probably because of this) there were very few staff around ; we had a long wait at reception, but more importantly, breakfast staff were clearly under pressure (which was reflected in the short-tempered attitude of the manager). I would think this will be better during the Tourist Season.
Overall, Temple Resort is an enormous and magnificent complex (running & maintenance costs must be huge) - it is a wonderful place to spend some quality time to re-charge the batteries. We'll be back !

As others have said location is ok but we booked via another website not Accor and found out very quickly that you don’t get any assistance from the staff once you are asked what room number you are in, as we were in a “private” room. We were even refused a spare pool towel from reception. Went to the cafe for a coffee sorry you need to go to the pool bar. Go to the pool bar “sorry we don’t have a coffee machine here that’s in the cafe!”
After this we ate out every day as I wasn’t prepared to give them our money with such a poor quality of customer service.
If you have children under 13 then it’s great place to stay as the pool and adult only spa is packed with screaming busy kids enjoying themselves which is them just having fun until about 6pm then it’s really quiet once everyone heads in for dinner and the temperature drops.
The main pool is freezing cold for adults and impossible to use the spa till all the kids went in for dinner after dark.
Maybe if the pool temperature was warmer adults could use it too.
If you are a couple and want a relaxing holiday this is not the place for you.

Dear Happyplace1969, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your stay, particularly regarding the service issues and pool facilities. As your booking was for a privately owned room, it is correct that our staff may have limited ability to assist with certain requests, such as providing additional amenities like pool towels. We recommend contacting the owner or agent directly for any specific needs related to your accommodation. For a more seamless experience, we encourage booking directly with us or through Accor in the future. This ensures full access to our comprehensive services, including complimentary amenities, daily room servicing, and convenient dining options. We appreciate your comments about the pool facilities and will consider your feedback as we continue to improve our offerings. For couples seeking a more relaxing environment, we can also recommend periods outside of school holidays. Thank you again for sharing your experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide a stay that meets your expectations. Kind Regards, Megan

Stayed on what should have been six nights on our Babymoon as we returned from a broader trip to Asia. Accor Gold Member.

Not true king beds, simply two singles zipped together. The initial room we were allocated had faulty zippers and led to the beds splitting apart. This made worse by the fact that the request for a pregnancy pillow was ignored (and later claimed that it didn’t send through to Pullman despite every other Accor property I visited both before and after all picking it up).

Reallocated to another room that had a broken toilet seat, faulty TV that wouldn’t turn off, unclean bedsheets (that the Room Division Director tried to claim didn’t exist until he realised I had photos), dust hanging from the ceiling and mould in the bathroom.

In the end, after three nights, three room changes (including one at 11pm), several unreturned requests for contact by a completely absent GM I requested a refund and left early. Staff were argumentative and at one point said “I don’t think I should be held accountable for a Accor problem” despite Pullman very much being part of the Accor Group. Not worth my hard earned money or energy to deal with stoic, unapologetic and rude staff members who made it out as if I was creating the problems on my own holiday.

If we didn’t have the service and room issues we had I still probably wouldn’t stay there. Common spaces were dated including the pool. Only ever 1 staff member anywhere (poolbar, reception, spa) and when running at the high occupancy that they are it was always slow. Evidently, after speaking with other guests who felt they were ripped off at their price-points, one quipped that this property is owned by a body corporate that Accor manage on their behalf which means they have no control to truly maintain the grounds properly.

Will not return and don’t think you, reader, should either. You’re far better off at Cairns in terms of quality of rooms, location and value-for-money.

I booked a two bedroom suite for 4 days 25/7 to 29/7. 3 People. Priced at just over $6000.00. This did not include room service or breakfast. For this price, I expect these two items, at a minimum. I gather that my booked accom was privately owned and I could not discuss this with the owners. I therefore cancelled my booking. I have been able to source better accommodation for 3K less, which includes room service and breakfast. The money was not the issue in this instance, but at an expensive resort, I expect the basics at the very least.

Dear daniellehV1300AS, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent experience. We are sorry to hear about the disappointment you encountered with your private rental booking. As your booking was for a privately owned apartment, we unfortunately do not have any influence over the pricing or inclusions set by the owner or agent. We recommend that you share your concerns and review directly with them for a more effective resolution. For future stays, we would be delighted to assist you in booking accommodations directly with us. This would ensure that you receive all the amenities and services we offer, including daily room servicing, breakfast-inclusive packages, and the convenience of charging dining expenses to your room account. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with a stay that meets your expectations. Kind Regards, Megan

The room was frankly shabby. The shower over bath, whilst having a good showerhead, had no separate means to rinse off a small detachable showerhead would help), and the tub (which got dirty because of the environment) was not always properly cleaned. Also I was terrifiedof falling as it was very high sided and had poor anti-slip protection. I eventually got my partner to help me in and out if needed). The extractor fan didn'twork and why oh why no cooling in such a hot room as a bathroom. About 5 days into a 7 day stay a coffee maker appeared - which didn't work. Tea bags were in short supply, the ice area in the fridge was broken and the bedside clock told a random time we couldn't alter so it was useless as anything other than a charging point (and why USB charging points in a bedside light and clock? Why not on a wall plug)? And the promised insect spray was nowhere to be found. The rooms could also do with painting, and the light dimmer fixing (it strobed when being used).

I also found another trip hazard on day 1 as we were checking in and fell heavily. I can't fault the response from the staff - again amazing. However the warming sign was the same colour as the edge of the step I fell down, certainly not bright yellow (as some steps had but by no means all). I got of lightly all considered.

The staff were great, especially given the clear staffing issues (an amazing manager working just about everywhere) and the desk staff were brilliant. . I was slightly disappointed to find no swimwear at all in the Resort shop (although I was able to find some elsewhere). The pools were great, the food amazing, and the poolside bar was a relaxing place. I have it on my partner's authority the spa was amazing, sadly illness forced me to skip my appointment (absolutely not the Resort's fault there) and that was disappointing for me. The smells were divine.

Dear Helen W, Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort & Spa. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with this feedback although we are disappointed to hear that your studio spa room let down your stay. We can confirm that both our Rooms Division Manager and Maintenance team are investigating and addressing all room items that you have advised us on. Please note the step you are referring to is common property and this has been passed onto the body corporate committee for consideration. It is however fantastic to hear that you found our staff brilliant, our food and beverage options amazing and that your partner thoroughly enjoyed their Vie Spa experience. We appreciate your feedback and we hope to get the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Our resort does have a number of apartments that also have walk in showers that we think you would really enjoy. Please do feel free to reach out directly to organise a return stay, we will ensure you are well looked after. Sincerely, Jessica James General Manager

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights with a luxury escapes deal. It is truly a beautiful resort and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment and this was well worth the extra money as it was huge, had a fully stocked kitchen and separate bedroom and living areas.

The pool and grounds of the resort are well maintained and the resort is built around a number of beautiful local trees, adding to the experience. We had dinner in the temple of tastes restaurant and the food was first-class with excellent service. Breakfast every morning was very generous also with yogurts, fresh fruit, pastries and a hot plate of food. We also had a couples treatment at the vie spa which was heavenly.

The staff here are extremely friendly and accommodating at all times and very knowledgeable about the local area and things to do. The resort is in an ideal location between cairns and port Douglas meaning you can enjoy both areas very easily.

My only minor criticism (and I stress very minor) is that I think the resort could use more staff. I waited a long time to check in as only one person was on the desk, and service at dinner/breakfast or at the lagoon bar was very slow at each occasion. One more staff member in each situation would’ve made a lot of difference. The resort was not busy and it was outside of school holidays. I stress this is only a VERY minor detail though and really didn’t effect my experience at all. I will be recommending this place to my friends, colleagues and family and we will certainly be back in the future!

Lovely resort tucked away in peaceful tropical garden setting . Pools were fabulous and a short walk to the beach while being tucked away from the onshore breeze . Temple of tastes restaurant was great if a little pricey and Lagoon Bar had a good selection of lunchtime options . Only negative was our studio room which was a bit run down and dirty with green mould in shower , cracked tiles , leaking door etc and the room needed a good clean and makeover to justify the $500 per night price tag . Not what you expect for a 5 star hotel

We stayed here in Jan 2023 for 5 nights as part of a wider trip to Australia. We really enjoyed staying here, the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming with good facilities.

We stayed on a room only basis and ate at local eateries during our stay, so can't comment on the food. However, the bar service was excellent with great cocktails, including a cocktail of the day.

Pool area was quite busy, but as this is tropical Queensland the majority of people do use the pool as the beach is not suitable for swimming due to the crocs and jelly fish.

Shops, restaurants etc are all in easy walking distance. Good place to stay.

Dear Stormchaser40, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience from your stay at our hotel in Palm Cove! We're glad you had the opportunity to experience our excellent bar service and enjoyed the variety of cocktails, including our cocktail of the day. It's wonderful to know that you found our pool area to be lively, and we understand that in tropical Queensland, the pool often becomes a focal point for relaxation and enjoyment, especially with the beach's limitations due to wildlife at certain times of the year. Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your trip to Australia, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future for another great stay! Safe travels!
