First off we got there early and relayed that in the days prior to arrival. We were not guaranteed anything but when we got there they accommodated us as some cancellations had occurred so were able to check in early! Rates are extremely great value for money.
The staff are a beautiful and friendly family who will try and accommodate and inform you with anything you ask about for touring or eating locally.
The apartment was very clean and absolutely gorgeous. Kitted with everything you may think of or need for your stay. The views from the apartment are awesome of the lagoon and surrounds.
The pool is a perfect tempreture for an anytime swim and cool off. Its massive!
Lastly its located seconds from the beach and a stones throw away form eateries, spas and shopping.
If I go back to Cairns I will stay again!!

The new owners of this resort were so welcoming and helpful. Right from our initial enquiry when Gerhard Jnr actually set up a video chat to show me through the property and the actual apartment we would be staying in.
Once we arrived, the apartment and resort did not disappoint. The apartment was extremely spacious and so well appointed - fantastic kitchen & appliances, beautiful indoor / outdoor meals area and very roomy bedrooms with plenty of closet space.
The pool was better than most in the area - providing a full 25m for swimming with break out areas for lounging around.
Only 2 minutes from the beach, all the Esplanade eateries and shops - this resort is secluded but within arms length of everything you will need.
We will be back!!

You cannot fault the serenity of this place. The staff are incredibly friendly and approachable, the location is absolutely perfectly positioned within walking distance to all the restaurants and beach plus size of the apartment is very roomy. It has all the amenities included plus if we run out of anything or have any issues, the hotel management are straight on to it without a hassle. We’re really enjoying our relaxing honeymoon here, it’s so blissful.

We AGAIN stayed at the Sanctuary, Palm Cove for eight nights. It was absolutely brilliant. Gerhard Junior continues to be an inspired and perceptive guide and steered us in the right direction for tours and restaurants - again all their recommendations were spot on.
The Accommodation was HUGE spacious, clean and modern. The setting tranquil and superbly relaxing. Palm Cove is an idyllic place and the Sanctuary the perfect base from which to explore these adorable surrounds. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.
We expect to come back time and again. Palm Cove had a more intimate village feel than, say, Port Douglas, but there is still so much do do and see if your up for it.
DAZZ and the Boys play on Sundays at 2 PM just opposite- they are a talented ukelele band that plays all the favourites with a rollicking sense of humour.
Sanctuary- the name says it all.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights for a quick birthday getaway.
The property is set back from the road, is quiet, secluded and every bit the sanctuary its name suggests. It was also located in a great position, within easy walking distance to many food and drink options in Palm Cove.
We found the room to be a fantastic size. They are all 3 bedrooms, they simply lock the rooms you aren't using. The rooms were clean, modern and came with everything you would need for your stay.
We have already recommended this resort to many friends, and we will definitely be back!

We stayed in a 3 bedroom property. The bedrooms were double beds in each and therefore large. The entire property was clean, tidy and and fully airconditioned. The kitchen was superb. Highly recommended for a large family or up to three couples. The resort is just 3 mins walk to the nearest pubs and restaurants and is just set back a little from the main street which made it convenient and quiet, thereby making relaxing at the resorts pool idyllic and peaceful. The Labuschagne family running the resort were helpful with tips of what to do and where to eat. They even had a car that you can hire from the resort if desired.

From the initial reservation through to our whole stay, Sanctuary Palm Cove apartments are without a doubt, one of the best places we've stayed. Our 3 families with kids ranging from 20 to 1, plus my 75 yo mum, had a wonderful week away. The apartments are huge, beds very comfortable, and kitchen had absolutely everything we could hope for. Our apart #5 had french doors on 2 sides that opened right up to make us feel right amongst the trees. The bathrooms aren't new, but were very functional. Great having a laundry with dryer so we could pack light. Easy access via lift and parking in the basement fine for larger cars. All apartments are accessed over a bridge with pretty lagoon, and it was only a hop and a skip to the jetty and lots of restaurants, but extremely quiet from our balcony. The pool was suitable for all ages and we used often. There is a small grocery store about 10mins walk away that had basics, but we mostly used the supermarket in Clifton Beach about 10mins drive and self catered. Ate out 3 times and had takeaway once. There were plenty of plates and cutlery so we could cater for our whole group. This was our first stay in Palm Cove, and actually far prefer it to Port Douglas. Easy 35min drive from Cairns, 20 mins to Smithfield for the SkyRail to the Tablelands, 40mins to Port Douglas for boats to the reef. Just a really perfect getaway. Finally, I can't not mention the amazingly welcoming hosts: Gerhard Snr and Jnr. They are true gentlemen and very professional. (I didn't meet the rest of the family).

Very tranquil setting with beautifully kept grounds, spacious apartment. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment and I have to say the apartment was incredibly spacious, extremely well fitted out with lots of kitchen utensils etc. The appartment had the luxury of both many ceiling fans and a/c in each room if you needed it. Also having laundry facilities was great! Staff were incredibly helpful with communication before we arrived to anything we required when we were there! Pool is lovely and big with shaded area and all being a short walk into Palm Cove! Highly recommend!

We spent our 2021 Easter break at Sanctuary Palm Cove and it was brilliant. The accommodation is luxurious, very spacious and beautifully kept. Our check in was smooth and the young gentleman was extremely helpful with suggestions for places to eat and even booking our day trip to Kuranda on the Skyrail for us. I can highly recommend Sanctuary Palm Cove for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in one of the best places in Australia.
