we stayed here for a night on our way to Lake Argyle in a king room.
The room was ENORMOUS! I loved it had a ceiling fan & air conditioner - so we could dry our washing over chairs under the fan!
the KS bed was comfortable with high quality linen. great night's sleep - even though we were the end room facing the road (it was very very quiet).
the ensuite was massive with a large walk in corner shower. plenty of great quality linen & toiletries. great water pressure & temperature. it was weird the bathroom didnt have an exhaust fan so made it stuffy when showering.
plenty of parking & convenient to park outside your room.
loved the tavern onsite - delicious food & range of drinks.
we used the onsite laundry facilities & took advantage of their massive swimming pool.
highly recommend staying here.

We had to wait for results of a Covid test for 48 hours, so we were confined to our rooms. The staff were AMAZING!!!!! They provided us with options for dinner delivery. They were very efficient, under extremely unusual circumstances (42 quarantined people) and they were always bright and helpful.
Our room was a garden view room. We loved having the big sliding door to look out onto the garden and the birds. It was a big room, and we had enough room to do exercise. The bathroom had a big bench which is always a great thing. When we were allowed to leave our room after 48 hours, we used the pool, and it was very clean and comfortable sitting around on the lounges. Also when we were away for 1 night, the staff were very helpful with luggage, and welcomed us on our return. We ate in the dining room after our lockdown ended, and always had good meals.

Due to quarantine restrictions we had to wait 48 hours for our COVID results at the Kimberley Grande Resort. The staff were excellent accommodating 42 guests with no notice and facilities. They organised"room service"and did whatever they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The rooms were clean and spacious.
Under the circumstances the staff worked tirelessly and were just amazing! Thank you Kimberley Grande resort you were fantastic!!
We would highly recommend staying here at any time not only under quarantine restrictions.

The young multitasking staff were an inspiration but something seems to be lacking at a higher level. Firstly, the resort ( a description which is pushing the envelope), failed to collect a busload of guests from the airport. While understandably the rooms were not ready for us early arrivals, we were advised by a person who appeared to be in charge that an SMS wold be sent as soon as the rooms became available. No SMS was sent and although we saw that our allocated room was indeed ready, we were unable to access it until 2 pm. No lunch was available (we made allowances for the fact that Hospitality is suffering from a lack of staff) and no suggestions were made eg that we were in walking distance of town and a pleasant park and lake. Instead we were left to "kick our heels". The room was large and clean but there were indications of a lack in maintenance, with a large hole in the net curtain, a faulty light bulb and hot and cold indicators missing from the shower taps. Minor matters but in total indicating a less than satisfactory situation. The evening meal was good.

We didn’t enjoy our stay at this resort based on the breakfast experience, lunch and dinner options. The room and location of the resort to town is good, however the dining experience was very poor. The guests laundry was good with free washing machines and dryers available. The pool was refreshing and big enough to do a few laps with plenty of pool furniture to lounge on.

Resort, really? More like a below avarage motel in the middle of nowhere, no breakfast or breakfast facilities provided, when I where we could have something to eat, the answer was; "restaurant does not open on Mondays ", you can walk 15 minutes to town ( more like 30+), under a 39 C , heat? Thank you. Just remove the Resort name on it as it does not look orany reflect one.
We try and holiday in WA, however when you pay what is charged and get very little, is very outputting.

Our party of 4 dined out on four nights recently, with the experience as the Kimberly Grande "Restaurant" leaving us scratching our heads (28/03). I thought we would be entering a restaurant, but no, orders were taken over the bar next door. We were offered a table in the sports bar, but we had no desire to eat in a noisy bar environment with 6 large screen TVs. Where we ended up was the soulless space adjacent which is apparently the restaurant. Food was "ok" but expensive for "ok" and service was clunky with delivery of our mains about a minute after having the entree laid on the table. Hardly had room to fit a glass on the table with so entrees and mains all on the table at the same time. If you want a pub dinner, I think you can do better elsewhere (at least value for money). If you want a dining experience, there are two very good options not far away. My other three reviews of our dinning experiences in Kununurra that week were all wholly positive.

Response from Kimberley Grande, General Manager at The Kimberley Grande Resort
Responded 3 Apr 2021
Hello, I am sorry to hear of your experience with us here at the Kimberley Grande. Pre-Covid, the Restaurant & Bar were operating as separate entities but due to a labour shortage since the beginning of the pandemic, we are operating with around 50% of our usual staffing level and have been forced to reduce our offering and run a hybrid menu and service. We anticipate that as restrictions ease and the international border reopens to backpackers, whom several industries rely on heavily in regional areas, this situation will be resolved and we can return to normal operations. I understand this can be frustrating to our visitors and guests but I assure you we are working hard to mitigate these circumstances and return to being a full service venue. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Kununurra and that we may get the chance to see you again soon.

We had dinner on the Sports Bar on the recommendation of the receptionist at our apartment complex who told us that we would need to be patient because it was a Saturday night. We had to join the end of a long queue to place our order, but despite this our food came out surprisingly quickly. Saturday night is laksa night so we ordered a chicken laksa and a steak sandwich. The meals were really tasty and the portions were quite generous. No wonder it's so popular!

We stayed here for 6 nights while visiting the Kimberley area. They stored our luggage while we took an overnight trip to the Bungle Bungles.
The rooms are very spacious and clean with good air-conditioning. The pool is crystal clear and large enough to do laps. The Sports Bar serves a variety of meals and although typical pub food it was good quality and freshly made. The salads were excellent. Breakfast is only offered at the weekends.
A young man in the bar named Justin was fantastic. He worked very hard every night to make sure everyone was looked after and he was always pleasant.
Great value for money.

Service in their restaurant was prompt and friendly both for drinks and food . Steak sandwich and the Dahl curry were enjoyable . As an improvement the curry could be offered as mild as it was or as more spicy. Surroundings were well presented .
