I stayed at the Poinciana Lodge on my way through Kununurra. It was a fantastic alternative to a backpackers or motel.
The Lodge is clean, well equipped and organised. I had my own donger room with air-conditioning, fresh sheets and a fridge. Bathrooms for male and female are shared and once again very clean. The manager has gone to a lot of trouble to create pleasant outdoor areas to sit and relax.
The lodge is a ten minute walk to Kununurra town centre so very convenient. It was sparsely populated when I stayed so I had the place to myself.

Best place to stay for a while in Kununurra. There are single- , double - and 4 bed rooms available, all rooms are with an aircon, a big fridge, a fan and a desk. The bathrooms are shared, there are 2 mixed bathrooms with a toilet and a shower and 1 female bath (1 toilet, 2 showers) and 1 male bath (3 showers, 2 toilets), everything is clean. 2 kitchen with gas oven and lots of equipement and 1 community room with a tv. Outside is a lounge area and a bbq, 2 washing machines a 3 $ and clothes lines. A small secure car park is in the front of the lodge, it will be locked when it´s getting dark. We stayed there for almost 6 months (march - october), felt like home. It´s very quite there, for persons who want to make big parties is the backpackers more suitable. To the town center it´s a walk about 15 min. The best at this place is the manager, Ginny. She is always helpful and open for a chat, very lovely!

Very clean, budget accommodation. The rooms are a good size and have great air conditioning and a fridge. There are communal bathrooms and kitchen area. Nice quiet accommodation, and the manager is friendly and very helpful.

Clean, friendly, reasonably priced workers accommodation. Great place to come back to after a days work. Made welcome by owners and other people staying. Mostly workers who get up early or do shift work so environment ideal.
