This is an old hotel, but kept clean and tidy. Led by the hard working Adriano, the staff are friendly and helpful. So much so that on our arrival their courtesy vehicle wasn't available so a staff member picked us and another guest up from the airport in his own troopie.

On arrival we were upgraded to a suite. This was good, but it would be improved if the curtains and curtain tracks eere set and functioned properly. A light above the desk in the living room would also be great.

We were served a continental breakfast in the restaurant each morning, but the bar and restaurant was otherwise closed.

Room Tip: A room in the centre of the complex is probably quiter than rooms around the perimeter.

I have stayed here for years. Although in recent years the Accor group has changed the status of the hotel from a Mercure to an Ibis Styles it has not changed the customer service provided. For the price you get a clean room with comfortable beds. There is no restaurant, but considering the location within walking distance of the town's bars and restaurants this should not be a drawback. The pool is clean and well maintained.

Fabulous greeting on arrival and fantastic staff at reception.

This is an old resort that we have been staying at for decades. It's showing its age now and cleaning isn't as good as it was. We had used dental floss on the floor of our bathroom, tissue stuck in the bathroom drain and something stuck in the bath outlet. Apart from that, they didn't make the beds or replace toiletries when servicing the room.

Due to "Covid - 19" the restaurant and bar was closed, but there were cafes, hotels and a tavern nearby and we were offered a Continental breakfast package if we wanted it.

We had a relaxing stay, despite the few shortcomings and will stay here again.

We stayed in the new wing, which was very clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and the breakfast was excellent. We were able to use the laundry facilities which were very welcome after camping for over a week and the pool was very inviting.

Hi MarjB Thank you for your review. We are proud of our team, who are all working hard to deliver an experience like no other in Kununurra. Our fresh, new rooms have now all been completely renovated. We are continuing with our build by extending our hotel and building The Cambridge into luxury accommodation. We recommend our guests contact our Guest Services team to ensure that our extensions and building works will not impact their stay with us at The Cambridge. Thank you for staying with us at The Cambridge Kununurra.

We were on a tour with 25 people and when we arrived we were greeted by a very happy receptionist I am told was called Narelle. She was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast and service was fantastic. We were there for the wonderful buffet dinner and although it was expensive at $65 it was well worth it. The hotel was undergoing renovations and there were work men around but it did not interfere with our enjoyment. Thank you.

Very friendly and helpful staff, check in simple and quick. We weee just looking for a place to sleep mid trip and this was a room at a very reasonable price and good value for money. Very clean and tidy and parking right in front of room.
Nice amenities.
Overall I’d recommend and will definitely stay again next time.

We stayed here as part of a tour group and were placed in Room 505. We soon realised that the room was infested with cockroaches - they were everywhere, even though we sprayed several times. When we advised reception the next morning, the response really surprised us - the woman already knew about the problem, said that they thought the cockroaches were in the wall and that nothing they had done had helped. We were unimpressed that the room was still being used (and charged for). No-one else in the group had this issue but it made for a very unpleasant stay for us.

Response from Adriano Miyada, General Manager at The Cambridge Kununurra
Responded 2 June 2021
Dear guest, thank you for sharing your feedback from your recent visit at the ibis Styles Kununurra. I'm so sorry that you've encountered such issues in your room, I was quite surprised to be made aware of that since this is not a common issue here. I will address this with the staff member that you've spoken to as this is not a known fact and that if the issue was not solved we should've moved you rooms. We take these matters very seriously and will do whatever it takes to mitigate it. Rest assured that I will have our pest control contractors treating that room and ensuring all the rooms are clear from them nasty creepy crawlers. Once again thank you for bringing this to my attention. Kind regards, Adriano Miyada General Manager

Location was ideal, staff great, but I found the lack of attention to guest security in respect to secure sliding doors. The lock could of been easily manipulated, a simple measure of installing security screen dors that are lockable from the inside, would address this problem. IBIS, spend some money on up-grading your security measures and maybe I will return.

I gave the Ibis a very good rating because of the way their acting general manager looked after us and the Ibis even though the Ibis was sold at the end of August.
Lisa could not have done more for the guests and the upkeep of the Resort.
A great asset to Accor.
As we are in pandemic times we do not travel interstate but am always looked after as a member of Accor.
Sorry to see Accor will no longer be up North in Kununurra.
Best wishes to all staff who also were very cheerful and obliging
