Hotel's Favourite
An oasis in the North of Western Australia! The hotel staff have been very helpful and pleasant. The rooms are basic, but the meals are value for money! My wife and I have been working our way through the menu during our stay and have really enjoyed what we have had to date! The drinks are reasonably priced and the range of wines is good. We shall return!

2 nights here before heading into the Kimberley. The check in was smooth and efficient and we were in our neat comfy and spotlessly clean room. Then a walk round and sit by the pool for lunch, some of the nicest fish and chips I have had in a long while.
Dinner that night was equally as good and service spot on by the team, a big shout out to the Vanuatu team who are making sure this place continues to function in these Covid times.
Again on check out the team at reception made sure it had all gone smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights here.
The on site laundry was a big plus and the washing line and pegs made sure all our gear was clean and dry and ready to head off again.
In summary service with a smile, clean rooms and great food, couldn’t ask for much more.

This accommodation was in a great location, close in town and walkable to the town centre. However it was very old, and very quiet. Seemed like a ghost town while the other parts of town were pumping. The housekeeping consisted of just pulling our bed covers up, and not putting the pillows from the floor onto the bed, no replacement of anything in the bathroom and no washing of dishes. The restaurant was never open, could not get any lunch or even a drink during the day, to lie by the pool. Yet when we were asked if we could check out late/in early had to pay $50 for late checkout and room not available for early check in, yet the property was extremely quite. One great part was they do have a free airport shuttle and did store our luggage for us while we went off and did a tour for 4 days. The reception area also smelt horrible, like fryer fat in a take away shop. Would not stay again, there is much nicer accommodation to choose from, yes probably pricier but we would pay the price.

My husband and I stayed at the Kununurra Country Club on our way through to Darwin, and loved it so much we stayed an extra night!
The staff were amazing, they specifically assigned is a room that had ample parking so we could park our camper trailer and vehicle easily, and managed to fit us in for a last minute reservation at the amazing restaurant.
The room was so comfortable, clean and spacious, and the rest of the resort was secure and lovely.
I highly recommend staying here, and visiting Kununurra!

We stayed 4 nights. Rooms were clean & comfortable.
Staff welcoming.
Not all poolside areas were open due to Covid and possibly staff shortages but the pool was open and that’s all that was really needed.
Weekend business hours are reduced and servicing of rooms is only 8-10 on weekends, we chose to forgo the room being made up as it’s really not needed daily.
Only thing was we had to nip out to get some extra toilet paper - maybe ask for extra for weekends.
The location was perfect for us as a base for exploring Kununurra and we would definitely recommend a stay here.

Our flight from Broome to Kununurra arrived 30 minutes early so we had to wait for our free transfer to KCC to arrive. Amanda turned up in the minivan very apologetic and a little flustered that we had to wait. She was lovely and very informative about the area and the accommodation on our 5 km trip to the resort. What concerned us most was her advice when we settle into our room was to lock away all our valuables in the safe and don’t leave anything out on the balcony. Our room was comfortable but being on the 1st floor we had to lug our suitcases up the flight of stairs to our room. No wheelchair access here. After settling in we went for dinner at the restaurant and returned for a good nights sleep, albeit with one eye open and a chair against the inside of the door.
With the shortage of staff I think these guys try really hard to make your stay as good as it can possibly be.

The Hotel is in the centre of town but designed in such a way that you feel like you are in a quiet oasis. You are a few minutes walk from the supermarket, pubs and cafes.
The room was well designed and comfortable. The bed was a king size, and the room very quiet - great sleep quality. The pool was lovely and shaded to protect from the strong sun. The gardens and surrounds were very well maintained and offer lots of shade and greenery which attracts some lovely bird life.
The restaurant food was delicious, albeit not cheap. We had dinner and it was excellent and served on a nice outdoor deck area. There is limited periods of time the restaurant is open (6-8pm from memory) and not open for lunch - most people are out on tours I guess.
This is a regional Hotel, and getting a little tired in some areas, but overall it is very good with nice features.
The Hotel provided a complimentary pick up and drop off service for the airport which worked really well. We dealt with a number of staff during our stay and they were all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

We've stayed at KCC 4 times since 2014 and this was the first time we were given a (king) room in the wings "to the right" (opposite side to the pool). These rooms are accessed via the back work yard (not good) and are very different to the "pool side" rooms. The big plus was the usual ultra friendly and helpful reception. Room basic and clean but dated compared to the "pool" rooms - OK shower, comfy bed but dirty hand towels left on floor after first night. Kelly's restaurant has same menu as years ago - not cheap (altho wines very reasonable) and food is better than average with generous servings.

I highly recommend Kununurra as a place to visit & experience the wonderful landscape of the East Kimberely. There is no doubt that the pandemic has been a challenge for many hospitality businesses in WA with increased local demand & difficulty sourcing staff. This venue seems to have managed this challenge well recruiting staff from as far a field as Vanuatu. This place really does have the feel of a tropical country club with a lovely pool & outdoor dining / bar area. The rooms are basic but had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The rooms were clean & well serviced. The onsite restaurant & bar provided a great place to unwind & enjoy refreshments.
I am very grateful to the owner for maintaining this level of service during this challenging period. We will definitely be back for a tropical gateaway in the future.
Thankyou for this lovely & hospitable experience.
