We stayed recently for a total of 12 wonderful days and loved it. You are greeted every morning to very friendly staff that love there work. The motel has a community kitchen, pool, laundry, well maintained garden area for relaxing in. The main shopping center is just across the road and how convenient as you don't need to hire a car to get around town. All tours pick you up from this motel. It's super clean and has very comfortable beds for you to sleep in after coming back from your daily tours. Next door is the only fish and chips shop in town with a 10% discount for the motel guests. The motel has great rates and we highly recommend a stay there.

Fantastic location, right in the centre of town. the staff are amazing, always available with a smile and help when needed. The rooms have everything you need INCLUDING cutlery, crockery and a microwave… if that isn’t enough they have a massive share kitchen too. Beautiful pool that’s a hidden gem and the oasis looking courtyard in the centre of the property is just Devine. A couple of pupper pats definitely increased my joy at this motel.
I can’t believe it is meant to be a backpackers. Definitely recommend you stay here when visiting Kununurra.

Traveling from Halls Creek to KNX on short notice via Greyhound Bus, we made a last minute booking around 4pm. I didn't read the email until we got in range about an hr out from Kununurra and noticed it said to contact them if arriving after 5pm.
I was worried as we were arriving around 8pm but after contacting the hotel, the Manager already had a plan B if we arrive before 8pm to pick up the key at the fish n chip shop on site and a Plan C where she was happy to meet us at the gate to let us in.
We arrived after 8pm and check in was smooth and easy. We spent 2 nights here and I can honestly say the customer service was awesome. They even sell cold drinks at reception after walking around town on a hot day.
Thank you for being extra nice to my client who i was escorting to the hospital.

This is undoubtedly one of the best motel accommodations we have stayed in, since we began our drive north, setting out from Melbourne on July 2nd 2024. Our aim is to travel around Australia, booking many overnight and longer stays. Our main criterion is “pet friendly”. Lisa, in particular, went out of her way to make our overnight stay an absolute joy. I highly recommend the Kimberly Croc Motel if you are travelling with your dogs as she was extremely welcoming and made us feel at ease with our dogs.

I can see the appeal of this place for people traveling with pets, and maybe if the prices dropped dramatically, but we were super disappointed with the room. It looked nothing like the photos - was dark, had a damp smell, and looked out on a barbed wire fence on one side and reception on the other. Unfortunately, given we were paying close to $200 a night, it just didn’t cut it, given we could go to a much nicer part of town and get a much larger room with a beautiful pool for the same price.
If this place was significantly cheaper, I would recommend it to people traveling on a budget, but unfortunately given it’s comparable with the much nicer resorts around town, I would struggle to recommend it to anyone except those traveling with pets.

We were very happy with our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The staff go out of their way to help with setting up tours, what to see, where to eat etc. Two fur-babies greet you on arrival. Great wifi, nice sized rooms with everything we needed. Walking distance (across the street) to groceries, ATM and restaurants (fish and chips shop attached to facility). Quiet, free parking and secure property.

Excellent pet-friendly location which provided everything my cat and I needed. Sure, it isn’t the newest, but it was both clean and comfortable for us. Having the Barra Shack co-located made dinner easy too...and got a 10% discount on my food because I was staying here!

We stayed a night here on our way across the top. We booked the pet friendly room so we could have our 2 dogs with us. The pet en-suite was handy to be able to pop out for them to stretch their legs and do their business. Was lovely to have a swim in the pool and the room was spacious with a lovely big bed. A decent place to stay the night.

We were very happy to get a pet friendly room at the Kimberley Croc at the last minute as we discovered that the dog boarding kennels had recently closed. We have stayed at this motel in the past but not with our dog. There were tradesmen in several rooms, looking as though many are being renovated. Although the courtyard and facilities are a little rustic, they are well maintained and create a homely feel with lush green surroundings, outdoor tables at each door and communal kitchen/pool. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable. Our dog enjoyed the view from the sliding door. Coles supermarket and pharmacy are across the road, pub and cafes around the corner.

Lisa & the staff at Kimberly Croc are amazing. We had car issues & an unknown length of stay & they really looked after us. Everyone has been so helpful. Being able to cook our own meals has been so great & the short walk to Coles & other shops makes it easy. After being on the Gibb it has been glorious to have our own shower with lovely hot water. Even with three kids we have had enough space to really relax during our stay. Thank you so much!!
