Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our overnight resting place in Comus during our Cathar Way walk. It was fine except for one thing. It's 3 or 4 storey building and naturally we were on the top floor. No lift, narrow staircase = hard yakka. At 77 yo lugging your heavy bags up and down was not fun. Apart from that all good - our room was very good and being on the top floor we had great views ! The meals were excellent. The place was full so there was lots of chat on the one long table - my French went down very well. Recommended - with the one reservation (how about installing a lift, Annie)

We spent one night in August in this place, which should be recently renovated... unfortunatly the entire structure inside seemed to be an "hospital" rather than a "gite d'etape". Toilets and bathroom (shared among more rooms) seemed to be not particulary clean, as for restoration: the dinner was evidently made with no care and in great economy. The same for the breakfast: jams in dirty and recycled big pots, etc. This all for the "cheap" price of 42 euro for each person. Considering all the other gites d'etape we saw in the region and in general the high quality level that similar structures usually have, we think that in this case the quality and the care should be strongly improved!
