Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for work, found checking in easy, room was clean and comfortable, Had dinner in restaurant and the meal was lovely. The bed was comfortable, air cond wasn't noisy like some places I have stayed in, it kept a constant temp & was just right considering it was very cold outside :) The meal the steak was cooked perfectly with the sides to match. Overall great place to stay & will return again.

The room was clean and linen fresh but no hand towels, face washers or tissues & a very hard bed, for $140 I expected more, no cooked breakfast available either. Only stayed 1 night, will not stay there again.

1st glance is nice, spacious. Then Foxtel is scarcely there. Some buttons on remote missing. Spar has water rust stains, appearing dirty.Spar tap hanging from wall. No bath liquids. Byo. Bathroom door doesn't shut... Outside light comes in (no blinds) along with toilet smells & noises. Byo airfreshener & sleep mask. Front door has a punch hole in it & is so badly fitted its easy to leave ajar. Sitting area another door doesnt shut properly. So light n noise enters all rooms. Bring pain killers for bad backs, a mug if you drink more than a toy cup. A run down place but has a 4* price. Avoid if you can.

Stayed only one night to attend a nearby work event. Beds were comfortable and linen was good. Bathroom door would not close. It is a budget hotel so wasn't expecting too much. Value for money was ok but hopefully they will repair the bathroom door and maybe also fix the very noisy shower screen door.

The worse place on earth . No value for money at all. For the same price plus $10-$20 more you can have luxury room in 100% better, new hotels/motels around Melbourne. This place requires renovations as everything is old and warned, especially showers and tabs. The chemicals they use need to be reevaluated as they may cause allergic reaction to some...like me I had nausea and vomitig, but the staff at the motel suggested could have gastro...nonsense. As soon as I went on fresh air nausea stopped....this could be job for the healthcare department. Not going there whatsoever even if they let me stay for free, I don't recommend this place to anyone, not even to the worse enemies.😡😡😡

Upon arrival we were greeted by 2 very pleasant ladies, one in training the other trainer. Mr Kelly was not sighted, perhaps slinking behind the wall in the reception area 'listening ' maybe chuckling to himself; in any case the best price for this afternoon was $171.00. For $171.00 per night the Sunshine Motor Inn provided what could only be described as a mediocre room, furnished with aging inclusions from the bathroom fittings, to the scratched wooden furniture to the marked walls where 'perhaps' other previous guests have left their mark! Two bath towels and a bath mat, No face washer or hand towels. No toaster, No microwave, No 'biscuits' that would have enjoyed with a cup of coffee. A refrigerator with the normal broken shelf, the type found in very average motels. The parking area provided is secure and is in most cases immediately outside the lower floor rooms. The pathway outside those same rooms has peeling red paint and in need of repair, the gutter area gives no indication that regular cleaning has been carried out as droppings from the single fur tree are strewn everywhere. The pool is an attractive 'green' the area surrounding the pool although secure should have the obvious temporary repairs painted. The most spectacular feature of this place is the asking price for accommodation. It's a pity as this place could be made attractive for the correct reasons, staff present as professional, obliging and apologetic but are governed by Mr Kelly who is surely squeezing as many "shillings" from the investment. Apologies to Mr Kelly if Mrs Kelly is in control [we don't want to discriminate; do we?]

Service is poor, room smells like cooking and spilt milk. Bed linen arent fresh at all, stinks and used like millions of people had used it. However location is great, easy accecc to the highway. What i hated is the smell from reception, to the restaurant and to the room and to bed linens, STUNK. And they never tidy and replaced linens for the entire 3 day stay. Sorry but will never again stay in this motel and will never recommend to anyone.

We needed somewhere to stay on this side of the city on busy Saturday night. This hotel was affordable and had a restaurant where we could get dinner. It turned out to be clean, quiet and comfortable. The room was basic but the bed comfortable. I will say that some of the shower tiles stuck to my foot when lifted it up, but the room was clean and provided everything we needed. The restaurant was very convenient. It offered a wide range of meals at a good price that more than filled up my hungry teenage son. The staff were a little quirky, but very friendly and gave us everything we needed.
