Had three nights there. great food in restaurant,,,,Shop not good so make sure you have supplies. Site based on an abandoned village. The old church is now reception and the restaurant . they have renovated the whole village to a very high standard,,,

Only stopped for 3 nights before Easter cos they were full. Lovely wide pitches. Good restaurant and fair sanitary block. Lovely lake but a long walk back uphill! Overall, good spot but take your supplies.
This campsite is basically a village.
We stayed there with our motorhome on a winter holiday. The site was very quiet but the facilities were excellent. We ate in the restaurant where the food was vey good any reasonably priced.

Wow what a quiet site. We were the only ones here but having said that it is so remote it must always be peaceful. You do have the silence broken by the occasional train passing by. They don't run between 9pm and 8.30 am though....More
