Nice peaceful place. Nice surroundings - wooden beams and everything else. Staff obliging. Room with a massive comfortable bed (would have benefited from phones each side so you could talk to each other). No need to go and find another restaurant, a good selection of food, well cooked and well presented. And reasonably priced drinks. Only slight disappointment was the...

We had a lovely room with antique furniture. All staff from the moment we arrived until we left two days later were friendly and very efficient. The meals we enjoyed in the restaurant were of a high standard and delicious. The owner seemed to be around all the time, and the staff worked so hard to make our stay wonderful....

The owners are both friendly and efficient, a good combination. They could not have been more welcoming. The restaurant is superb, breakfast just right. The feature of our stay was Christmas Lunch in the "barn". Oh my - what a treat. We are already seriously thinking about booking again for this year. What higher praise can I give.

Even the miserable weather during our stay couldn't ruin our appreciation of this wonderful place. Highly attentive service throughout in a lovely quirky setting. We stayed in the Haselbury Suite on the second floor of the main mill building. The room was well maintained with a couple of very minor issues. Bathroom modern and spacious with a luxurious bath and...

we were a group of friends and stayed at Haselbury Mill on a 2 night break. We all agreed that it was a very good deal indeed. Some of us were in the Mill House the rest of us were in the other accomodation in the grounds. All the rooms were clean and very comfortable, we eat in the restaurant...

The Mill provides a range of rooms across the estate and we were in one of those in the Mill House. Good facilities - very large bed, modern compact bathroom and generous tea/coffee making facilities topped up daily. Our fellow guests were quiet although noise did carry through the building. Great choice of freshly cooked breakfasts and very friendly and...

We stayed for 2 nights and were pleased with a good value deal for B&B. We had a nice room at the top of the old mill house, which was comfortable. There are a number of vintage vehicles and gypsy caravans around the grounds - great to see them! The beautiful tithe barn was very impressive and I'm sure many...

We have travelled extensively, please see my previous reviews, so we thought we would have a long weekend stay at Hazlebury with some friends. My understanding is that this hotel is owned by the previous owner of Abbey Hill car transporters who anybody in the transport industry will recognise well. What a lovely choice, superb location, superb service, and we had lovely weather...

I came here for the Swedish Day event that was being held on the Sunday, so decided to make a long weekend of it (Fri - Mon). I found the overrall site (grounds and buildings) well kept. The room was clean and spacious. The Bar and the three different dinning rooms had a lot of interesting artefacts. The breakfast was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Often described as “Probably the most beautiful setting in the South West of England” The original buildings date back many centuries and are of great local interest with a history stretching back to the times of William the Conqueror and are reportedly mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Haselbury Mill is truly the ultimate somerset venue to commemorate and celebrate the special days in your life. The three magnificent listed buildings & newly built Tithe Barn provide the focus of this superb conference, restaurant, hotel & wedding facility. The Georgian Mill owner’s house & adjacent cottages have been transformed into a luxuriously appointed 21-bedroom hotel all with High Speed Wi-Fi Internet connection. All rooms are en-suite and are exquisitely appointed to add that little touch of luxury to the beautiful surroundings. The original Mill buildings have been sympathetically converted to a stylish restaurant and underneath can be found a traditional local's bar with flag stone floors and oak panelled walls. The Four storey Granary building nearby encompasses a lakeside bar and restaurant and further function and conference rooms ... more   less
