Dissapointing as we travel with our dog and used this park regularly to find that they have now decided to charge 5 dollars per night for your dog
Other than free poo bags supplied from council, there is no reason for this other greed
The lady in reception said they may put on a dog wash facility
When enquire more I was told if you don't like it don't bring your dog

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your recent experience didn’t meet your expectations, especially regarding the new dog fee. We understand that this change can be frustrating for our valued guests, and we appreciate your perspective. What an amazing park! I first had a site I wasn't able to fit in then, driving around the park, I noticed that there was a couple trying to make their site work for them. After a quick discussion, we decided to head down to the office and make a swap, which the staff were most accommodating. (I think they enjoyed the fact that I'd brought my solution with me!)

Then, for the rest of the stay I completely enjoyed myself. The park was clean, unlike I'd seen for a long time. Not a blade of grass was out of place! And the amenities were top rated.

At night, the pub across the street would fire up but, promptly at 10pm, they shut the music down and you could hear a pin drop in the park.

There was a large group there, who I was told were charged a surcharge of $5 extra per site, which I though was a bit rough. They were a caravan group (that wasn't a club) but they all kept to themselves and were out of the way 99% of the time.

And, as far as the location: Well. In the four days I was there, I never started my car. Everything you would need was within an easy walk. Cafes, restaurants, fast food & takeaway, Swimwear shops a couple of banks, Coles, the pub (including a MASSIVE bottle shop) and Surf Club. I was impressed.

Access to the beach was easy and there seemed to be two patrolled areas, one outside the van park and one 200m to the south, outside the surf club.

We have already booked for Easter for my wider family (My wife and I; Mum and Dad; My sister, brother-in-law & niece; and my cousin and his family) on their annual Easter pilgrimage. To say I'm excited to return is an understatement.

Coolum Holiday Park is the best park that we have stayed at, this is our 7th visit and will continue to book each year for a relaxing holiday. The staff are friendly when checking in at the front desk. Once you have your camp site all set up, you can walk to any convenience store to grab any last-minute food or drinks. Everything is at walking distance, so no need to take the car, there is the surf club right next door for meals if heading out, there is a Coles store and bottle shop, also chemist across the road. There are souvenir stores for keepsake shopping.

The best part is being having the beach at your front door, with surf lifeguards on duty every day for safety when enjoying a swim.

The amenities and grounds are always kept clean at all times.
The caravan park is also pet friendly in allocated areas.

The location of this park is fantastic, if you’re in the top part of the park is sites are a good size(all be it at $77 per night). The sites down the bottom are tight, the fact that they charge $10 for their tractor to help you get into their tight sites is disgraceful. What happened to old fashioned customer service, very very poor. The camp kitchen is ok but no paper towel, no detergent, no utensils and no sink plugs. The room next to the kitchen is large and bland, not ever a TV on the wall. The toilets are dirty and smelly. Some of the hygiene pads in the urinals are disgusting(see photos).
Overall this park other than the location really needs to give better value for money in light of the prices charged.

I recently stayed at Coolum Beach Caravan Park and overall, my experience was enjoyable. The location of the caravan park, nestled near the beautiful Coolum Beach, was stunning. The facilities were well-maintained, offering clean amenities blocks and convenient BBQ areas. The family-friendly atmosphere made it a perfect destination for a relaxing getaway.

However, my stay was marred by the behaviour of some fellow campers, particularly those occupying sites 159 and 160. These individuals seemed to believe that the rules regarding pet ownership did not apply to them. Despite clear regulations stating that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, they allowed their pets to roam freely, both on the grass area and around other campsites.

As a result, their unrestrained dogs wandered into neighbouring campsites, causing disruptions and making some guests uncomfortable. It was disappointing to see this disregard for the rules and the inconvenience it caused for others. It's unfortunate when a few individuals choose to prioritize their own convenience over the enjoyment and safety of the community as a whole.

I hope that the management of Coolum Beach Caravan Park takes steps to address these issues and enforce the rules more effectively. Clearer signage, increased patrols, and stricter enforcement measures could help prevent similar incidents in the future and ensure a more pleasant experience for all guests.

Despite this setback, I would still recommend Coolum Beach Caravan Park to others seeking a peaceful coastal retreat. With its stunning location and family-friendly amenities, it has the potential to be a fantastic destination, provided that all guests adhere to the rules and show consideration for their fellow campers.

Park was very nice and staff very helpful, however a bit tight for caravans over 18foot and sand around some slabs has degraded making vans uneven. I have suggested double slabs to avoid all the edges sticking up and becoming hazards. Also more bins would be nice and empty more regularly as after Saturday night most were full.

We just had our second visit at Coolum Beach RV over a 6 week period for 4 nights. We always bring our pet and have found all the dogs brought to the park and beach are very friendly and well behaved. Our opinion of the RV park is that the whole experience is a pleasure and we will continue to come back every 6 - 8 weeks in our MH. The overall condition and maintenance of the park is remarkable. The staff are very helpful and pleasing to deal with. Shopping and cafes are across the street, making any trip out for anything just a short walk from the camp site. After RV'ing for many years in Australia we think this is the best value for your money and always come away looking forward to our next stay.

We had a very thoroughly enjoyable stay at Coolum Beach Holiday Park. The check-in process was very easy, helped by the very professional and courteous staff (and that stayed the same throughout our stay).

The facilities were always spotless and cleaned daily. Our site (caravan) was a good size and clean; whilst the road was a little narrow for reversing (at least for me) the Park provided and prompt tractor service which was much appreciated. The location is excellent, a few minutes stroll to either the town or the beach and, in fact, we did not use our car for the duration of our stay. We had two dogs (Collies) and the site was big enough that they were not crammed in.

Although almost filled to capacity we never felt crowded and everyone respected the rules which is a sure sign of a well run park.

We had to leave early and were well aware of the cancellation policy; even so the staff tried to help us out, offering a credit if the site was resold. This never happened but I did appreciate that they did try to help instead of just quoting the cancellation policy at me.

A great, well-run clean and tidy park and a lovely break for us. We hope to return soon

This is a lovely caravan park, well situated on the beach front at Coolum, and opposite cafes, supermarket and pub close by.
It’s very popular and crowded. A friendly staff member helps people back their vans in with his tractor as some sites are close to trees and the roads within the park are narrow.
Amenities are very clean and modern. There are a number of BBQ areas, and the camp kitchen is clean, with jug, fridge/freezer and microwave. Admin staff were friendly and helpful.
There is a pet friendly area where we stayed with our cousins and their two dogs. All dogs were well behaved!
Beach access is easy either straight through the park or the pet gate at the side.
Our only recommendation would be not to choose a site too close to the main road and fence- Friday night was noisy with youth throughout the night.

Don’t waste your time or money staying here. We have stayed in parks all over Australia and this park is so crammed in , it is all about how much can we make rather than comfort to the traveller. At approx $80 night for 2 people for the sardine sites was not justified. Would never recommend this park, I know the response from park to this will be, sorry to hear of your blah blah blah, all I can finish with is the staff were good on checking in, the park is crap.

Yes there are permanents in this caravan park. They are close to the allocated dog areas, rather than the cabins and powered sites.
