We had originally booked a 3 bedroom apartment in September 2020 but due to lockdowns had to reschedule and we couldn’t get the 3 bedroom, had to go for a 2 bed and still paid $200 for 3 less nights. This is the worst place I have stayed in in a long time, bathroom and kitchen extremely outdated, couch is a very uncomfortable fouton fridge is all rusted curtains have mould on them, tv has a line through it. Hallways are clean and updated but that is disappointing when you get into the room. Pools are also not like pictures small and dirty, not happy travellers here. Almost $1200 for 4 nights 🤮

Very nice stay but if you have an iPhone don’t expect wifi. Apparently their internet provider doesn’t like apple. The top spa was so dirty one day I decided not to get in it. I did have a slight ocean view even though I didn’t pay for one.

What an absolutely wonderful stay we had at The Beach Retreat! Stunning accomodation, very tidy and clean. Beautiful facilities. Andrew and Tracey are truly wonderful managers - they could not do enough for us to ensure we had the best stay. Very personable and professional! Thank you! Highly recommend!

We've stayed here a few times now and will definately keep coming back. The location is sensational, not to mention unbelievably convenient. Walking distance to shops, groceries, cafes, restaurants and straight accross the road from the beautiful coolum Beach. The office staff and new management are so friendly and helpful. We've stayed in a few different style rooms so far, and my favourite are the ocean view and beachfront apartments. Our longer stay recently we had a 1 bedroom beachfront apartment which had a kitchenette, washing machine and dryer - great facilities for our longer stay. We have been staying annually at the Beach Retreat for the last 9 or 10 years. As we had to cut our last holiday short in early April this year due to the PM declaring 2 days into our stay that non essential travel was not to be taken, the closure of clubs, restaurants etc, the closure of the border (we live in Nthn NSW) and myself being a high risk person, (my doctor advised me to minimise contact with others and go home) we would have ordinarily looked forward to returning again. However, after the dismissive, rude and argumentative treatment we received from new manager Dave, who refused a credit for our remaining paid for non used nights and told us we did not understand what is going on!! (we did not want a refund, just a credit for next year) due to the fact my children…

Where do I start. I called to book after looking at their website and looking at the amenities in each room, booked a one bedroom apartment. Website states it comes with a queen size bed, a full size fridge and a view. Well my queen size bed was two singles and they argued with me and told me that’s what I specifically asked for ...I went with my fiancé, why would I ask for 2 single beds....next is the fridge, we were there 4 nights and 5 days so was happy the room had a full sized fridge, get into room and it’s a bar fridge. I went to office to ask about bed and fridge the guy at reception informed me that they come with bar fridges. Traveling and tired I called reception just as they started closing. A fella with an accent did his best to fit me in to Hotel room. Much appreciated. I have stayed at this place a number of times over the years and really has become bit of a zen place to get away from the daily rush of life as we know it today. Rooms are comfortable access via stairs or elevator. Beds are comfortable and very easy to sleep in when there is so much to do on the Sunshine Coast or chill out at the Beach Retreat its your call. Beach Retreat is very easy walk to the beach or the shopping area and supermarket. Cafes as well easy walk. across is a terrific walkway to either head south or north along the coastline. Beach Retreat for me is a good easy going place which I do thoroughly enjoy each time I'm on the Sunshine Coast.

I only stayed 1 night in a 1 bedroom apartment and was so impressed with the size and comfort of everything. I had a large balcony as well. i will certainly be coming back here for a longer stay. Loved how close everything you need is and easily managed by walking to everything. The only downside I found was the view from my bed was not of the ocean. If they were to place the bed in a different location it would be so much nicer lying in bed looking at the ocean.
