We had a lovely studio room which was very well presented. We had a great view of Coolum beach from our balcony.
The receptionist, Cristiana was very warm and welcoming.
The swimming pool is in a great position and there is also a separate kiddies pool.
The location is perfect! Literally a short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and the Surf Club.
We will definitely be staying again!

This is the place we always stay in Coolum, it is very handy to walk to the shops. The view from the rooms is magnificient. We stay in a studio room mainly because we view the sea from the bed, almost like being onboard a ship! The room has everything we need, no cooking facilities however but we sacrifice that for enjoyment of being able to sit in bed and enjoy a coffee whilst looking at the sea, see photo. There are lifts, so no climbing stairs. The staff are great.

Location is perfect, pool and outdoor facilities are very good. Room however was very sub standard for almost $200 per night. Very small with old furniture, damaged top on cabinet. Bathroom outdated and gloomy. The lighting is terrible, a small dull ceiling light and 2 very yellow wall lights at the bed. Can't leave the balcony door open for fresh air (ground floor) as no screens, fly or security. Cleaning was OK but vinyl plank floor felt gritty.

I only stayed 1 night in a 1 bedroom apartment and was so impressed with the size and comfort of everything. I had a large balcony as well. i will certainly be coming back here for a longer stay. Loved how close everything you need is and easily managed by walking to everything. The only downside I found was the view from my bed was not of the ocean. If they were to place the bed in a different location it would be so much nicer lying in bed looking at the ocean.

As a couple we stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a partial ocean view. Kitchen, dining & lounge together, separate bedroom with king bed, separate bathroom combines with laundry. Though the apartment was a little dated it was clean, comfortable and had all we needed. There is a reasonable sized balcony. We could park under the building. There are trolleys there to use and a lift. Next door is a good restaurant - Canteen Kitchen - and another cafe two doors down. A few hundred metres away is the main shopping strip where there is a good fish & chip cafe. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we are in Coolum.

This hotel is on a prime position for Coolum beach .
You literally just cross the road and you are on the boardwalk and the beach .
The rooms are comfortable and well equipped there iare two pools ( one for small children ) which iare warm albeit a bit noisy .There are various restaurants right next door .Its also ( although I didn’t see it has its own kitchen facilities for those who wish to do their own food ) The staff were very friendly and kept our luggage for us before and after we had checked out until we left Coolum later on .

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with friendly smiles and all the information we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. When leaving our battery was flat and the manager so kindly recharged our battery. What an asset he is to the retreat. The lady on reception couldn't have been nicer either. Our room was fantastic. Clean, wonderful views, air con and fans. Great provision of things such as clothes rack with pegs plus everything one could need on a holiday. The retreat is so close to the beach, restaurants, surf club etc. Fabulous balconies with outdoor chairs and table. Very comfortable bed and lounge chairs. Beautiful clean linen and the whole place was so clean. The location was incredible and such value for money. Pool and spa heated and wonderful. I used them every day and it was mid winter! We were able to de-stress after a traumatic experience at home. Thank you so much.

I called to enquire about the motel room that is listed and enquired about the sofas that were in the photo and was told that the room does not have sofas. When I asked if the room was the same as a studio (it's listed elsewhere on other sites as a studio) the employee I spoke to said he wasn't sure and hung up on me. Good way to do business (note of sarcasim)

I have stayed at this place a number of times over the years and really has become bit of a zen place to get away from the daily rush of life as we know it today.
Rooms are comfortable access via stairs or elevator. Beds are comfortable and very easy to sleep in when there is so much to do on the Sunshine Coast or chill out at the Beach Retreat its your call. Beach Retreat is very easy walk to the beach or the shopping area and supermarket. Cafes as well easy walk. across is a terrific walkway to either head south or north along the coastline.
Beach Retreat for me is a good easy going place which I do thoroughly enjoy each time I'm on the Sunshine Coast.

We booked last minute and appreciated getting a room. The room was very tired, out the back, desperately needs some paint work. The resort looks fine, reception closes early, maps and how to get anywhere are confusing and difficult to follow but a reasonable well-located place.

When my wife and I stayed there the room was spotless. Not once did we see mould in the bathroom or anywhere else.Take a tip from Made Wijaya,Trust the staff at the resort to make your stay comfortable. And if you can find a better location for the price in Coolum, please let me know. I doubt you will. Made Wijaya. :)
