Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The view and location are great, big balcony overlooking the beach and in walking distance to cafes and restaurants. The manager, Gene, was also very friendly. Unfortunately if we’d have known the pool was closed due to refurbishment we wouldn’t have booked here as we could have stayed somewhere with better facilities for the same price. I think people should be advised of this when booking as the apartments are advertised as having a pool so it is expected. Parking is also an issue. We ended up in 3 different parks throughout our stay. Not sure why we weren’t allocated the right spot from the beginning. The room we stayed in could use some work. Tables in the dining and living rooms were rusty and the door frames also show rust. The second bedroom also didn’t have a fan controller. The apartment was quite small compared to other 2 bedroom apartments we’ve stayed in. We still had a nice weekend however.

The website promised so much but the reality was very different: pool was under renovation, with the jack hammer going in the morning. Significant trip hazard in the main thoroughfare (photo). No sauna, no WiFi. As for new appliances see the photos. For the off peak rate of $290 this was poor value. Check in required 4 phone calls on arrival and another to discuss check out. To their credit, they discounted the room after complaining. The outdated room was warm however and situated in an excellent area.

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and enjoyed it again. Directly across the road from the beach, with secure parking underneath, it is a great place to stay. The rooms are spacious and tidy. We’ve stayed in the double room (room 6) which has a queen bed in one room and 2 singles in another. The room is fully self contained with a kitchenette too. The balcony looks straight over the beach & there’s a bar / restaurant on the ground floor. Shops and other restaurants are just around the corner. A great place to stay.

Stayed here for 3 nights this week in Unit 17, a one bedroom unit. This block is just across from the beach, close to shops and restaurants and is clean and quiet. However, at $600 for the 3 mid week nights, not cheap. The wi fi is terrible and keeps dropping out and the bed was so cheap and hard I didn't sleep much at all, my body is still aching. A couple of sun lounges on the balcony instead of the hard little chairs would have been great to lounge on and admire the view.

We had a girls' weekend here in Unit 6 recently and were very pleasantly surprised! We had a 2 bedroom apartment (Unit 6) which was right on the front and quiet from any traffic noise. It was also roomy, was spotlessly clean, and with a bonus - FANTASTIC spacious deck looking out over the Pacific in all its glory! We didn't have a chance to indulge in the spa or pool, but DID spend quite a bit of time downstairs in the bar and restaurant. We had an AWESOME weekend. Beds were comfy, pillows were cloud soft, reception were friendly, helpful and engaging. Would stay again here in a heartbeat!

This hotel is brilliantly located just a block from the main Coolum Beach shops, and directly opposite the beach, with stairs leading down and the boardwalk leading up to the point. Our room was clean and very well presented and furnished. We were lucky to be on the third floor, with excellent views of the beach. Would highly recommend and happily stay there again.

I have nearly two hundred reviews registered ranging from five star hotels in Hong Kong and Singapore to simple B&Bs in the UK. This small block of units rates very highly in all of my requirements. The units are situated across the road from a patrolled beach and from our unit (17) we had a reasonable view of the sea. Every morning I sat and ate breakfast on the verandah and watched the surfies. We had some confusion with check-in (fault on bath sides) due to our late arrival but the manager was able to sort this out at 10 pm on Christmas Eve even though she finished at 5 pm. The unit was spotless and just what we wanted. Noise was almost non-existent when the doors were shut even though we were above the pool. The manager, her sister, and the housemaid were very friendly and responded immediately to anything we asked for. A small problem with the bath tap was attempted but needed a plumber (not available on New Years Day). The cost was a bit high but expected during the Christmas and New Years period and compared favourably with other units on the coast. Thank tou Monika, Khadri and the housemaid for a great 10 days.

What a great location. We were in the top floor facing the beach. Great sunrises and a wonderful location for the family. Very friendly staff and an excellent restaurant downstairs. The room was recently renovated as a Hampton style residence with all new furniture and fittings. Close to the surf club and across the road from the flags.
