I'm brazilian and went on vacation to Brazil with my English friends to know the Pantanal. The hostel is excellent, the rooms are clean and airy. The staff were attentive and polite. They all made efforts to speak English with my "gringo" friends. The culinary is local, it doesn't disappoint. Have you ever tried "Piranha soup"? Delicious. But the best...

A contradiction but true. An amazing variety of bird life making a great deal of noise but such a sense of peace. The bungalows may not be the most luxurious but they fulfilled any practical needs and were totally in keeping with the rest of the environment. No idea what the safe charge is about-we were never asked for any...

We had an extraordinary 3 night - 4 day nature adventure in the wet season with water levels rising. Many bird, fish reptile and mammal sightings. Great fun canoeing, motor boating and horseback riding. Comfortable accommodations, good food, excellent service, excellent English speaking guide (Zanie). Very good value, and highly recommended for a down-to-earth wildlife viewing and environment appreciation experience....

Our guide Flávio was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna we saw. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent, plenty of variety catering to all tastes, and the barman, Odiley, made the best caipirinhas in Brasil, and we've drunk quite a few over the years! Beverages and the laundry costs...

Very friendly staff, Ana met us at reception and was very helpful, the guides were also knowledgable and competent. I was with Zaina most of the time and she was very good at finding the things we particularly wanted to see. We wanted to see some giant otters, and on the final day on the final boat ride, she found one...

What a result, ignore any comments about basic accommodation - you don't make this trip for 6* luxury. The lodges are fine, clean and tidy and although the bathrooms are basic they are more than adequate for this type of trip. Our lodge had a 4 poster set up and decent sized single bed for my teenage son. The hammock...

To start with the negative points the accommodation in this Pousada is rather basic and tired looking in comparison with other high-cost lodges we have stayed at in the Peruvian and Brazilian Amazon. Also given the very high cost of staying there were a number of minor irritating features such as the additional cost to use the in-room safe (really...

I generally enjoyed my stay here. The restaurant is very good and offers a great variety of dishes at every meal. I do wish that one could purchase a glass of wine. Currently the only option is a full bottle. My room was comfortable and cool although I had to move from one to.another on my second day. The air...

We stayed for 4 days in October. Rooms are lovely.. food great..plenty for vegetarians. Lots of birds and wildlife. Lake trips particularly productive and enjoyable. Flavio was a great guide with GSOH . We found the area a little too hot for us..37 degrees.on a couple of days. NBot sure if this the norm.

Visited in a group of 14 for 4 nights. We went on boat, horse riding, jeep and walking trips. The lodge has amazing wildlife in its grounds - the tree outside our room had a toucan, parrots and nesting cacique! Our amazing guides, Natalie and Helda found us everything except jaguars! We saw jaguarundi, tapir, anteater, caiman, giant otter (Helda...
