Good spot, away from the town noise. Well kept and clean, some of the facilities a bit older but overall comfortable spot.checking in was a smooth process and was informative, will be back again, well done, good for overnight stay on way though.
Enjoyed our one night here. Have stayed before in a cabin, but this was our first time on a site. Long sites, so didn’t have to unhook. Easy walk into town. The best part was the bar, with a couple of fires going and a very entertaining muso. The pizzas looked good, but we had already arranged dinner. Would stay again.
We stayed here a couple of nights whilst we took in some sights. Convenient location, close proximity to main street, close to the Telegraph Station and Mary Ann dam, both worth the time to see. The lookout is further on up the road also. The park was clean, well maintained and they were welcoming, helpful and friendly. You must remember however to lock up your things especially at night. I wouldn't suggest walking around town at night, during the day was ok.
This is a beaut CP in a special part of our country. Yes is mostly dirt sites BUT there’s space, a good pool, grassed camp sites and the amenities are clean abs very adequate! Does that mean it should get 5 stars - well in this neck of the woods- yep
I have stayed here in 1997 and 2021. It is a great little caravan park. It is clean, comfortable, with very friendly, accommodating owners who made us feel very welcome. Loved the camp kitchen and hot showers. Police and private security patrolled the night we were there - we felt very safe. I also lived in Tennant in 2009, so feel like I know the town and its social issues very well - but to incorporate this into the review of the OCP is unjustified...as much as I want to set the record straight and advocate for how great this little town is :)
Due to a last minute decision to stop overnight at Tennant Creek and being a Sunday choices were limited as the hotels were shut. I went to the Outback Caravan Park where I was offered a cabin for the night. Check in was friendly smooth and easy, Cabin was located under some trees with a few others. It was a basic comfortable cabin with good air conditioning and quiet. The Tennant Creek Club offers a half hourly pick up and drop off service to the club for meals which is good. Sitting outside after tea on a warm summers night with just a gentle breeze through the trees was really peaceful. I felt that the cabin was slightly over priced for what is offered but I would stay again when in Tennant Creek
Friendly helpful staff [thank you Sasha]. Secure aircon cabin with all the mod cons. Cabin room was clean & ready to occupy. Fridge, microwave & TV worked perfectly. Perfect for a good night's rest after a long drive. $110 per night. Wifi only worked near the office.
Excellent location. Friendly service. My husband paid $179 for a deluxe cabin as we didn’t want to sleep in the campervan due to it being a hot night. Apparently that was the only cabin available due to the races being on in Tennant Creek this weekend. Once I got inside and saw the place I wish we had stayed in a powered site because the cost of what we had for the night seemed far to steep!
The staff were very kind and helpful but the location was dodgy as. We stayed awake most of the night to watch for intruders. There was a loud party over the road until after midnight. We chose the park because it looked so good in the advertising with a nice pool which was closed for service. Nothing like the photos. I reckon hire a few big security guards and it would be much better. The amenities were dated but good water pressure. Kitchen was an outdoor verandah area, basic but useable. We had some grass on the site too. Overall bearable.
