We stopped in on our way to Uluru from Coober Pedy. It boasts that it is both the first and last pub in the NT. What a sight for sore eyes after a long, hot drive! Lots of cool pub memorabilia around and it is definitely one of those pubs from decades past. We had a couple of cold beers...

Very nice place to stay in the middle of no where, the rooms are neat and tidy and clean. The bar is great with good food and the staff are super and great to talk too and always give service with a smile

Quaint little iconic roadhouse, nice friendly Australian staff. Nice pub food, some bush tucker on offer. They sell the usual stuff Toilets were disgusting no excuse as they were not busy when we were there!

A tiny little place on the Stuart Highway, Kulgera is the sort of bush experience everyone should try at least once. The rooms are a bit old and basic but clean and comfortable. Best part of the place is the pub. A proper old bush pub full of odd characters. The bar staff are actually Australian and friendly which is...

As far as the accommodation, well it's basic but it's does what it's supposed to... Give you somewhere to sleep... It was clean, we had no problems... Make sure you...

We stopped over night at the campground and ate and drank at the pub. We had a great night, such a thrill to arrive for our first time in the NT to be greeted by country music over the outdoor speakers and friendly, relaxed and enthusiastic staff. Amenities are very basic, but we didn't care, added to the experience. Thanks...

Due to rain road to Finke closed. Stayed in a room. It was average. TV could not find a channel on their internal system. The reverse cycle air-conditioned was so loud you could not have it running even though it was close to zero degrees outside. Toilet had not been cleaned after previous occupant. Paper and faeces in the bowl....

Ate camel burger, camped on grass(!!!) stunning sunset/sunrise over the old car out the back of the petrol station. Welcomed cold beers on tap - stunning! Bathrooms at campsite need some love, but apparently being upgraded as a type... Worth filling tank of you need petrol, cheapest for a bit!

Bearing in mind the location it is important to temper your expectations in respect of camping facilities. Our caravan site and the facilities were ok but clearly in need of some improvements. We noted new showers were being installed so that will be a significant improvement. The pub is iconic outback and warrants taking time out for a beer or...
