Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’ve stayed here a few times now. I couldn’t find the email with the code for the lockbox and had to Google to find a contact number to call. From then on things were smooth. The rooms are large and well equipped. Linen is clean, the beds are comfortable and the aircon is nice and quiet. The rowdy locals are not the hotels fault but if they turn up in the carpark next door and. start their sh…t you won’t sleep. 2am -4am for me 😳. There is a small but secure carpark and the entire complex is safe. It’s an easy walk to the Katherine Club or Woolies. I’ll stay here again next time.

Basic but lovely clean room. Bonus free breakfast offered at their sister motel around the corner. Full buffet, which was beautiful. Welcoming hosts. Central secure location. Good value for money. Thank you!

I can understand some people being shocked when they arrive and see the security gates and the surrounding street. But that’s Katherine. Once inside this little hotel you are safe and sound so just relax. Yes it’s old but it’s also very comfy. My room had been renovated and had everything I needed. Everything was absolutely spotless and well organised. My car was inside a security gate and there’s a pool, restaurant next door and a bottle shop. What more do you need! We walked to the Katherine Club for dinner and drinks which was great and we’ll priced. Oh yes, there is a karaoke place next door where the locals make some noise, but it was over by 4pm. Some of the singers weren’t bad TBH! Overall I’d say this was the best place I’ve stayed in Katherine so far, and I’ve been in a few. There’s even a price guide so you know what you’ll get charged if you steal anything. Can’t be any fairer than that! I’ll be back for sure 👍

The room was clean and tidy Dated but served the purpose However the noise from the bar during the day was very loud Possibly not a place to stay unless you are going to work and only need a nights sleep A lot of the locals are bit overwhelming to say the least The Italian restaurant was a lovely meal

Not a good start, when we arrived, there were two police there 'chatting' to a number of indigenous folks out the front, then I saw another police officer at the bottle shop drive through. I thought 'what have I booked us into" The police were very useful, as I could not find the entry to the car park at the hotel, its not marked and not obvious. The car park is very small considering the number of rooms, and considering the security gates parking in the car park looks essential. Room was OK, a good 1960's 1970's type standard, but had been somewhat modernized. There was significant noise from the bar folks when we checked in, but as the night wore on the noise dropped, but about the same time the noise from adjacent rooms increased, as it did at various times during the evening. - like at 4 am lots of noise from next door. There was zero opportunity to make comment to a manager as the reception appeared to be totally un attended. Best suggestion is to look else where.

We stayed 2 nights and felt it was value for money. Room was clean and provided facilities such as toaster, microwave, crockery etc. Staff were friendly and off street gated carparking added extra security.

We arrived and immediately searched for other accommodation without unloading the car. Sadly we were stuck as all booked out. Considered sleeping in the car.OMG. Filthy, Sheets were dirty. Holes in the wall, nothing worked, so dated was transported to the 1950s. Just don't. Plus bar next door wailing god awful karoke ...

The room service is once weekly if your long term . You get a sheet only on your bed no mater how cold you may feel there is nothing else . Leave a morsel of food and you will be attacked by ants . Arrived early and had music flogging my ears from 3 till 5 :30 . I’ve been here long term and wouldn’t recommend it to any one . I’ve had community camps providing better . On the up it has a gated car park to for 3 cars out of 18 odd rooms . If you can educate people to park you may get out when required for work if not aim for ten if your lucky .

This motel is great. In the heart of Katherine so right next door to Coffee club for breakfast. Good room with several comfy beds, brilliant hot shower, great aircon. The little things like coffee machine and 6 pods, cutlery, crockery, milk in fridge, quality shampoo and conditioner all made it a great stay. Chris, the manager, is very friendly and helpful. He suggested The Club for dinner, 300 m away and was one of my favourite meals on our trip. Felt safe and parked car in front of motel with no problems. Pool looked fantastic!!! Thanks Chris, a great night!!

We stayed at this motel for an overnight stay as we were driving from Kununarra to Darwin. Room was a little small and this motel probably looks like it is from the seventies. However, it was reasonably clean. It does need a refurbishment with the soap dish missing from the shower. There is a parking area which is fenced off, so this is an advantage as the motel is in the heart of the town. Cigarette smoke from the adjacent pool area permeated our room and was extremely unpleasant. Apart form that, we had an okay experience but we will not return.
