A very nice reception lady Mary-Anne greeted us. She was very friendly and helpful in booking us into one of the Gorge tours we inquired about. The toilets and showers were very clean the nicest we have seen in a while. It had a lovely pool and quite a few trees for shade. Also as this one is set back far from the road with quite a long driveway there is less chance of unwanted people roaming around the sites.

My wife and I stayed at Shady Lane CP as a stopover to get to Nitmiluk and to resupply in Katherine. The caravan park is, as its name implies, quite shady. The caravan sites are a good size allowing the car to remain hooked up or end to end. The facilties are easy to access, clean and well maintained. We felt very safe in Shady Lane. The park is close to the town of Katherine allowing access to shops. Also, it is an easy drive to Nitmiluk and gorge trips. Definitely recommended place to stay.

This park really deserves its high star rating. A lovely small park, friendly staff, lots of shade and well kept grounds. The ablution blocks were very clean and new. Sites well divided by trees and plants for privacy. There's not much in the way of lawn at this time of year, but they were watering the roads to keep dust down. We felt very safe and the vibe was friendly and relaxed.
