The Cooinda Lodge is in a great location to explore Kakadu National Park from. We managed to get a special Accor deal that was on a few months ago, so staying here was good value for money. Without the discount, it gets a little pricey. The grounds are great - easy to get around, a beautiful environment to relax in....

I wasn't expecting much when we booked a superior lodge room despite the $200 price tag but was pleasantly surprised on arrival. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was fairly new and modern. Be careful getting out the shower though as the screens are not exactly water tight. The pool is lovely to relax by and...

Either you stay in Cooinda or Jabiru which is half an hour away by car. The lodge is the set in lovely gardens with two swimming pools. Rooms are fairly basic but comfortable with tables and chairs outside. There is also a camp site with laundry facilities. The Yellow River tour centre is based here which is why many people...

The lodge is about 45 mins south of Jabiru and pretty isolated. In addition to the pool etc the main attractions are the range of Yellow Water cruises - well worth it. For most of the other trip eg Ubirr, you need to drive back to Jabiru. The lodges are comfortable and clean but pretty basic. The place looks a...

Our second time to Cooinda Lodge, this time instead of camping, staying in a Family room met our needs and was clean and tidy. The lodge was more than happy to arrange Yellow Water Cruise for the mother in law while i was excited to go on a 3 hour fishing charter. Arrived at the jetty at 0645 only to...

All though we were staying whilst experiencing the tail end effects of a cylcone - lots of rain and really before the start of the dry (busy season) the lodge was very busy. We had a room booked for 2 adults 1 child and this suited our situation. The most irritating part was the skylight in the bathroom was exceptionally...

The lodge is an oasis in the middle of the bush. We were greeted by a lovely young man who was personality plus and extremely helpful. Directions in hand we were off to our campsite where we discovered it was already occupied. Back to reception and we were allocated another lot. Where we promptly set up our roof top tent....

Dear Karen, Thank you for your review. We experienced a higher than normal rain fall this wet season and as such we had to block off the outer campsites as they were quite bogged, we open up the extra sites as they dry out. Our guest's comfort and enjoyment is our main priority so I hope this didn't cause you...

Stayed here 2 nights during April. Room was clean, spacious and well laid out. It also has camping facilities. Had dinner there each night and the food was great and well priced. Staff were friendly and had good tips about what roads/hikes were open. Lots were still closed due to being the end of the wet season.

Dear TKU13, Many thanks for reviewing your stay with us. We are very pleased to hear you had a wonderful stay, enjoyed the facilities and found the staff to be friendly and informative. We had a large amount of rainfall over the wet season that has put back the opening of a lot of the roads and tracks but they...

This was the second time we went there. The resort is aged and no money is put back for an upgrade in the cabins. Breakfast is a joke if you place a money value to it. We did enjoy the dinner with a Barra, but, overpriced. Forget the outdoor dining area, poorly cleaned. The only reson to stay there is...

The hotel is the only game in town in that area in the rainy season for visiting Kakadu . The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast after the river cruise was hearty. The servings were large. Too many fries with a hamburger.
