Every need and or whim tended to in timely fashion and with a smile. Food top notch. Pool warm and clean. Overall a very relaxed vacation. Only disappointment was the matress was really hard. Not a problem for those who spend the day enjoying what the country/resort has to offer.

We travelled here as a family for two weeks in November. The hotel was very busy as it coincided with the American Thanksgiving holiday but we found most things to be fine even with the amount of guests. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool but we spent most time on the beach. Just a short walk down the...

I went November 14-21, 2016 with a group of 41 for a friend's wedding! Weather was great for the end of rainy season :) Rooms: our room was #3002 which backs on to the jungle. Amazing! Trees right outside the balcony and you can hear the animals often. Also backs onto the zip line. The room was always clean and...

Here is what you need to know about RIU Guanacaste: Rooms: The rooms are very average....

This resort is a great Riu property, we have stayed at a few and prefer the ones like this that are less modern and have a warmer appearance. The gardens were nicely kept, the room always clean as well as the other common areas of the resort. The hotel bathrooms were always clean including the one near the pool/lunch buffet...

My husband and I stayed at Riu Guanacaste as a first stop during our honeymoon. We wished we stayed here the entire time! The second hotel we stayed at couldn't even compete with Riu! The staff was absolutely AMAZING. They did things for you before you asked or before you even noticed you needed them done! The kitchen staff was...
