Stayed there on a Motorcycle trip basically just overnight. I got there from recommendation of TA and some Motorcycling sites. In my opinion it gives you a very good value, we payed 600Baht for the new double rooms. The room has everything you need including flat screen TV and terrace or balcony. The owner is very nice, friendly and helpful....

It's located close to the main road and also in the middle of many sights such as the big temple on the mountain, local villages where you can walk by foot, down the valley with all the tee shops where you can taste tee and buy. We stayed in a bungalow with a small veranda. The room is simple but...

This is a nice hotel with a very friendly and helpful owner who has made a map for his guests for better sightseeing and trekking. Free oolong tea, good coffee and meals in the cafe. Thanks to the owner the atmosphere is very friendly and caring, stayed because of that. Cheap rooms are rather olds, still that's good value for...

Yes the place is run down and rickety but the owner is friendly and helpful and the wi-fi very fast and reliable. If you need western amenities look elsewhere but for me (solo male on a motorbike) who just needs a place to sleep and hot shower, this place was perfect I would stay here again....

If you stay in this rusty but nice place, take some time on the upper floor balcony to observe the people on the street walking towards the morning market, its amazing to see all this different dressed ethnic groups :-) the place itself is relaxed and cosy. Dont expect luxury rooms (at least not the cheap rooms), but they have...

We've stayed for one night and we've got directly to this guesthouse because of its good fame within the travellers, who might be backpackers as we are, otherwise, this would not be a reasonable option for other kind of tourism. The staff of the place are nice and helped us a lot, as they speak english which is not common...

To be honest, the hole place is a bit run down, but it has it's charm and is cheap. We have stayed here two nights in a bungalow for 300 thb a night. There was a good hot shower which was nice since you're in the mountains and it is getting cold at night. The restaurant in front is a...

Pros: The rooms are very, very cheap (100 bat/night). The room is very simple, but clean. Free wifi, free laundry. Scooter rental. Staff are friendly and speak enlish. Cons: The toilet and shower are very poor. A very good choice for 1 or 2 nights.

This place is the oldest in Mea Salong. The bungalows for just 300 bath has so much charm and you can almost feel the history of the many travelers that have stayed there through the years. The garden is really nice and the owners are super friendly. If you are looking at getting away from it all for a couple...

Shin Sane guesthouse has it all: the rooms are clean, there are motorbikes for rent, the Songthaews to and from Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai stop right there, and the owner and his family are nice, knowledgeable, helpful, and everything is very affordable. There are three kinds of rooms, the shared bathroom facilities are basic but typical for many places...
