My wife and I had a spectacular 5 nights in this superb lodging. David and Brad are great hosts. The lodge itself has a classic aesthetic that's very pleasing. Breakfasts were very tasty with many special touches like the homemade lime marmalade that's the best I've ever had. We appreciated David's special efforts to arrange trips for us, including a...

David and Brad are so friendly and they do work so hard to make your visit so special. Their welcome is so good, you think you have known them for a long time as friends. Starting at the top. Our bedroom was on the first floor at the front of the house right overlooking the wonderful bay (so relaxing). The...

We stayed for two nights in March and David and Brad looked after us extremely well. The accomodation was spacious, well appointed and beautifully decorated. Sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine and looking out at the stunning view over the bay was amazing. Breakfast was delicious on both mornings - everything homemade and a bit different from...

We arrived in the Bay of Islands after a 13hour flight and a 3 hour drive (also, take note of the instructions in the welcome email - avoid the scenic route and take the ferry!) and the Arcadia Lodge was sure a sight for sore eyes. Though we were a bit early, David welcomed us and hurried our check in....

We stayed at Arcadia Lodge for the first three nights of our holiday on the North Island, having taken a short flight from Auckland to the small airport of Kerikeri nearby. Russell is small, charming, historic town, just a short walk from the lodge. Arcadia Lodge is a very comfortable and friendly place to stay and Brad and Dave were...

I stayed 3 nights at this beautiful B&B, near the end of a 4 week New Zealand trip. I had a hard time leaving - I would have liked to stay longer! I had an awesome view from my room and found myself getting up during the night to gaze at the beautiful starlit sky. David and Brad were great...

Stayed 2 nights in March at the beginning of a 3 week trip. A lovely old home that has been beautifully renovated. Stylish, tasteful and very comfortable. The service and food were first class including the delicious home made jams. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the water, on a beautiful morning, will be a lasting memory. David and Brad were...

We spent three nights here and the accommodation and service was exceptional. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable; the shower hot and powerful; the breakfasts outstanding ( tailor made to one's preferences too); and the hosts are as efficient and helpful as can be. There is a lounge for guests; and the hosts live in a separate dwelling though...

The Arcadia Lodge B&B, and their proprietors (David and Brad) are absolutely delightful: The rooms are comfortable, tastefully decorated, hardwood everything (great finishes), well lit in a quiet location with spacious bay views. The breakfast area not only is delightfully located, but also encourages stimulating and prolonged conversations with the other guests. There is a spacious sitting room with fun...

This was an extraordinarily wonderful experience hosted by very dedicated and friendly innkeepers. They were so kind and accommodating throughout our entire stay providing us with all the local attractions and their personal favorites. The vintage and historical nature of the home was so impressive. We very much enjoyed our private room with our own balcony overlooking the fabulous bay...
