Stayed here with my Mum and my Sister as part of a 'roadie' around Northland. It's definitely the loveliest and most historic hotel I have ever stayed in (and I've stayed in hotels all over the world!).The staff are nice and the setting is stunning!

Dined here for lunch with fiends on a gorgeous spring day (in the school holidays to boot) and had a very pleasant experience. Service was just excellent and we sat out on the front covered balcony which was great. The food itself was of a very high standard, wine selection not quite so good. Prompt service, lovely decor, fair pricing...

But we waiting to be served and expected efficient service considering we had two small children in tow but it dragged on and on....

The views from this historic hotel are stunning and the ambience befits its heritage. The restaurant serves well presented and tasty cuisine and the service matches the rest of the place. The cost is surprisingly reasonable considering the quality and standard of the food.

The food and service was first class and the decor and furnishings perfectly compliment this beautiful Victorian Colonial hotel located on the beach at Russell which was the first European settlement in New Zealand. This is old world South...

What a special place this is, after having pre dinner drinks in the historical bar we moved on to dinner with stunning oysters to start followed by fish and the lamb shoulder. The four of us all enjoyed a great night.
