We booked from the UK for two nights and were delighted we did - the room was comfortable, clean, well-appointed with its own conservatory; the breakfasts were sumptuous; the gardens spectacular; the views from the verandah gorgeous. Gary and Paula were gracious and generous hosts, and we felt so at home we booked a third night. Easy to find from... More

We stayed with Gary and Paula for three nights at the beginning of our visit to NZ from the UK. They are a charming and helpful couple who made us feel like family friends from day one, even greeting us with tea and cake! The property is built on a slope, with a great deal of privacy and lovely views... More

This lovely property has stunning views over the bay from the terraces. A great place to watch the sun go down, glass of excellent local wine in hand. Delicious breakfasts and faultless, friendly hospitality from Gary & Paula. Lots to do nearby, especailly if you like walking (aka 'tramping') and boat trips.

My wife and I were doing the north region as part of our honeymoon. Gary and Paula made their place an excellent spot to dwell and use as a hub for all activities in the area. Price is excellent and breakfast is superb (you'll barely need to have lunch). The place is very well equipped and they upgraded us to... More

Gary and Paula helped to make our dream holiday in New Zealand with a warm welcome, good company, a comfortable ensuite bedroom, our own relaxing conservatory, wonderful views of the bay and delicious breakfasts with fresh fruit and scrummy egg dishes. The house sits in a beautiful and interesting garden with an intriguing maze of pathways leading down to the... More

What a brilliant place. Lovely hosts and inspirational garden. Will return. The fabric artwork and patchwork are incredible. More inspiration!! Thanks for warm welcome. Make sure you fully explore the gardens as there are lots of beautiful nooks and crannies.

I had a ensuite room and a lounge attached to it, with a view on the sea. Superb views. Breakfast was taken on a balcony, with my hosts, facing the sea- having breakfast in front of the sea, in the sun, felt like a dream... Considering how wet it is back home! The breakfast was great, and Paula even cooked... More

We stayed one night at the Pipiroa Bay Homestay and felt right at home immediately upon meeting Paula and Gary. We were advised of restaurant recommendations, things to do in the area and upon our departure all of our questions were answered about the next leg of our journey. We stayed in the main house in a bedroom off the... More
