My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights and we left with very fond memories. The room was lovely, warm, nice bathroom, very comfy bed, etc. Breakfast was delicious (the blueberry pancakes in particular are a must). But the hospitality was the best part, and it was absolutely amazing. The hosts were wonderful, and we felt so...

Thanks so much Anna for your lovely comments. It was great having you both here, we thoroughly enjoyed your company. You certainly made the best of your few days and showed that you can still have a great time in the region even in winter. All the very best, we hope we meet again. Warm regards Janine and Pete

Marvelous, generous, gracious...there aren't enough adjectives to describe the overflowing of hospitality you will receive at Ambleside B&B. Peter and Janine are truly kind and generous people. They graciously allowed my husband to invade their rugby game watching and explain the game to him, LOL. Something he has been trying to understand for awhile. Seriously though, we loved everything; free...

We would use those same words "marvellous, generous, gracious" to describe you and this review. Thank you so much for your wonderful complements. It was a pleasure to host you both and hopefully Mark did not find the rugby rules too confusing. All the best for your travels and a safe return home to Miami. Warm regards Janine and Peter.

We spent 3 fantastic nights at Ambleside, and would highly recommend it. Easily the best b&b we have stayed at in NZ. The B&B itself is comfortable and well set up, but it is the service and hospitality from the hosts, Pete and Janine, that make the stay so memorable and enjoyable. Not only were the breakfasts hearty and absolutely...

Firstly, the B&B itself is lovely - a home away from home! The room was nicely furnished with a super comfy bed too! The spa was a welcome sight after a day walking through Abel Tasmin National Park. Great location, just a quick drive in to the city and easy access to the many sight seeing adventures that await you!...

Peter and Janine were fantastic hosts. We were warmly received and made to feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived. Peter has an extensive knowledge of the local area and is the go-to-guy for advice on where to go and what to see. The real jewel in the crown are the breakfasts: An extensive menu to choose from and...

We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights in Nelson at this lovely B&B. Pete made the yummiest breakfasts of all the places we stayed at during our four weeks on the South Island. Pete also directed us to some fun activities and conveniently set up our day trip to Abel Tasman National Park. The bus to Kaiteriteri picked us up and...

Thank you for the wonderful review and the kind words! The B&B guest area is located at the rear of the property, the south facing rooms are double-glazed and all the walls are sound-proofed.
