We stayed here for 3 nights and it is a Goliath for it punches above its weight and size. The salient points to note are 1) Excellent Location whether you fly or drive into Nelson it is pretty much a straight drive onto Rutherford Street and at the end across the road is the motel. It has Countdown bang opposite...

This motel was superb from the minute I arrived to leaving 3 days later. The staff were informative and friendly the room was modern and spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. Sky telly and the most comfy reclining chair and really nice big bed. Overall couldn't fault anything even location was great.

The palms is in a great location in nelson. Close to shops and next to a supermarket. Not close to the beach (probably 10 min drive). Very clean and tidy. Bed was really uncomfortable though. Also be aware the luxury 1 bed units have queen size beds, not kings. showers are also a little tricky getting in and out of....

We stayed in this motel for one night. The check in is very efficient and is close to the bus terminal, and the city centre. Next to the motel there is a supermarket. You can walk from this motel to queens garden and centre of new Zealand. The bed is comfortable and the motel has a kitchen. The bathroom is...

We had a great time here at the palms, the rooms are really clean and tidy and have every thing you need. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. The location is great as it's very close to the city centre. Would definitely recommend to family and friends looking to stay in nelson.

The accomodation was first class, extremely clean with great facilities. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Needing a place to recover after a lengthy journey to New Zealand, we were able to recover in premises travellers require. Comfortable beds and quietness. On further visits to Nelson it will be our first stop.

We cycled the Great Taste Trail with Trail Journeys (see related review) and our trip was bookended with a stay at Palms Nelson. The rooms are well-appointed with a small functional kitchenette & comfortable beds. The best features of the motel are the location (central to Nelson shopping & plenty of cafes and directly opposite a supermarket) and the service...

Stayed here for a family weekend away. Centrally located, city centre only a couple of minutes walk away, and there is a supermarket right across the street. We were warmly greeted on our arrival, given lots of useful information, really good clear directions for everything. The unit was modern and well equipped and spotlessly clean. We had a two bedroom...

Very noisy, wall is not sound proof! Not worth the money! Not good view, not looking like the picture on Internet! Staff not very friendly, not recommend to go there again! There's construction site progressing there, a bit messy! Although room is clean, like the cooking stove!

Thanks for your review Wayne D. Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. The construction site you are referring to is the next door building and we have no control over how tidy they keep their workplace. In fact on the days you stayed they weren't even on site as they don't work in the weekends....
